Hey, we all know the new trend of hybrid cars. Alternte fuel sources such as electricity, solar power etc: Not to long ago i read that mazda was also working on its alternate fuel engine but dont sight just yet> They are thinking about hydrogen power!!. Yeah thats right. Research done has proven that the rotary engine can handle the new fuel source, with minor modifications. Hydrogen fuel is very reactive but no need to get scared its just like gas. and has the flamable capabilities as gas so its as dangerous. Thee procees rips to the hydrogen atoms from one oxygen atom. If ya have taken chem or physics u know this is very dangeroud. Power is provided when the electrons move from level of spheres. tHIS CAUSES ENEGERY. By splitting the atom u get massive energy. Imagine running ure car for 20 miles on a cup of water. Amazing. The exhaust will be of hydrogen atoms wthat will re-circulate in our atmosphere and wil not cause any pollution. Sounds very intersting.!

wow, i dont know what you just said. Ill have to re-read tommorow.

nevermind, i get it now..........

ROTARYROCKET7 02-12-2003 12:06 AM

next time dont read after u smoked some left over weed in ure pocket and drank 1 and a half six packs. Enjoy it tomorow i got some grammatical errors but hey im a lil high too. Gotta love this hawain blunt. Favorite weed related movie "HALF BAKED"... Sir SMoke aLOT.

ROTARYROCKET7 02-12-2003 12:09 AM

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png sorry for any inconvenience. Two hydrogen atoms with 1 electron make a static bond with another element usally from the gas section. They love to have 8 electrons in each sphere. So hydrogen is used because the static bond between oxygen and hydrogen is weaker in relation to other bonds like for example uranium which turns into lead after a half life of 1 million plus years has a strong electron bond so 2 pounds of this **** will blow up miles of land, but of course u need a massive energy source to help thas why theey put them on rockets. Which exponentially decays at a slow snail pace. H20 is much better, You get shorter half lives, less energgy to brake them up, and get more energy in return. This is beautiful.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Seppuku 02-12-2003 12:16 AM

I understand now....................

wait uh nope i still dont.

ROTARYROCKET7 02-12-2003 12:22 AM

wait more than 15 seconds. the weed takes a while to leave ure system :squint: <~~see ure rice eyes. they dont let u read.

EVRYONE IS

SPEED_NYC 02-12-2003 01:29 AM

i posted about the very old mazda hydrogen rotary powered miata in the other forum last week

look here for all the specs on the hydrogen rotary, and every rotary engine ever built, including nsu, chevy, john deere, mercedes bens....

more hydrogen rotary stuff

Saltydog12 02-12-2003 08:15 AM

so can you still tune a hydrogen powered car?? I suppose you can add boost? Then you need to be able to monitor and alter fuel maps, fuel pressure?, and would you need a tank warmer similiar to Nitrous to manitain a steady pressure?

I'll stick to good old oil based gasoline!

Baldy 02-12-2003 08:20 AM

Power is provided when the electrons move from level of spheres. tHIS CAUSES ENEGERY. By splitting the atom u get massive energy.

electrons use energy to move from a lower energy level to a higher energy level, yet release energy when moving from higher to lower

They love to have 8 electrons in each sphere.

atoms are most stable with and octet of valence electrons, like the noble gases. Oxygen has six valence electrons (outermost shell), and hydrogen has one, that's why 2 H's commonly bond with 1 O.

Baldy 02-12-2003 08:22 AM

and with the hybrid cars that use hydrogen to provide electricity, they keep the hydrogen in carbon fiber fuel tanks for durability....hydrogen is way more reactive than gasoline (becuase of its available 1 valence electron), therefore extremely volatile; you couldn't store it in a tank that could explode on heavy impact (like a metal tank)

ROTARYROCKET7 02-12-2003 09:02 AM

:bigthumg: yup yup baldy

Baldy 02-12-2003 09:14 AM

I was gonna be a science major, then changed my mind

Baldy 02-12-2003 09:18 AM

Two hydrogen atoms with 1 electron make a static bond with another element usally from the gas section.

and if I'm not mistaken, that's a covalent bond

ROTARYROCKET7 02-12-2003 09:21 AM

yeah i love science. couldnt get all the proper terminology down last night. It did appear that everyone on Nopistons was drunk or high. SOme even both :squint: <~~hence me. But ive read that along time ago just thought id post it up for people that havnt heard of it nah mean. I am studying Computer Engineering rightnow. Data Structures in C++ is ******* hard. My teachers is a "Dork". Not just a nickname he is a dork. lol Hes smart though but you can telll he has little or no social interactions with other people. First day of classes tripped over a chair , drops the chalk mad times and smacks himself in the face with an eraser. ANyways im taking physics and i love it. That is where u see all ure hard earn calculus classes at werk lol. IIGht if you have any new info on the Hydrogen engine post it im am very interested.

HEy did ya know that Glass is not a solid but a liquid. It looks solid because it has a low vescosity rate. If you look at old 40yr mirrors closer to the bottom you notice a thicker porting than on the top. thats because gravity is pulling the liquid towards earth. Just though ya would like to know lol https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Baldy 02-12-2003 09:54 AM

yeah, I knew that! I'm not a dumbass! ...j/k

good stuff, that science, I just didn't think I'd be able to pull it off, get the experience I needed before a job, and out do the competition

no, i know that u know about the glass but thats for the other members dumbass lol jk

SPEED_NYC 02-12-2003 12:07 PM

read the links baldy and rotaryrocket, you guys are wrong on a couple of things....

ROTARYROCKET7 02-12-2003 12:09 PM

well i am just saying what i remebered . I read that a while back so im justing saying was it coming out of my brain. and me and baldy are talking bout how hydrogen energy werks in realtion to "cold fussion"

Baldy 02-12-2003 12:11 PM

speednyc, I'll take your word for it...that's a lot to read

ROTARYROCKET7 02-12-2003 12:15 PM

yeah speed im tired of reading. school got me reading for physics computers, and math im burnt the **** out!! lol. Well all in a nutshell the rotary engine can take cold fussion energy and no piston engine can lol.. WE ROCK https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

75 Repu 02-12-2003 12:25 PM

Alright Goddamnit, which one of you assholes is gonna send me an Aspirin or a Vicodin, cuz I got a headache from reading this ****..

ROTARYROCKET7 02-12-2003 12:27 PM

lol. I got some zanac it will make u happy if not i got some ritalin to mellow u out kid lol :bigok:

SPEED_NYC 02-12-2003 12:29 PM

tired of reading???

you'll take my word for it????

you guys arent rotor heads, that **** i gave you is the gospel, and you're too tired to read it??

smame on you https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

ROTARYROCKET7 02-12-2003 12:40 PM

no ive read it b4 but dont feel like reading more. at np.com all u do is read lol we should have posts that are verbal. but if ya talk gibarish ahh 4get it

CrazyAssRX7 02-12-2003 12:45 PM

Bush was talking about that in his speech to the nation

how he wants to get the hydrogen cars started

...for the benifit on the enviroment becasue pretty much everything else he talks about is not exactly good fore the enviroment

incendui 02-12-2003 12:53 PM

about running a car on hydrogen, energy is produced when hydrogen combines with oxygen and releases heat (the hydrogen burning), the product of this reaction is water. Now to get hydrogen from water you have to reverse the reaction somehow, which means you have to put in the same amount of energy you get out of hydrogen when it burns (in reality its more energy because the processes for getting hydrogen is fairly inefficient). This means that hydrogen isn't so much an energy source as it is energy storage; we'll still need solar, nuclear, or some other source of power to be able to get it. Also, when hydrogen burns, atoms dont split, molecules do. Atoms splitting would be a nuclear fission reaction, which i doubt the ole rotary is capable of creating.

Also, the glass being a liquid thing was just an old rumor. When old glass was produced one end would be thicker than the other, so while some glass is thicker at the bottom, the other half are thicker at the top. Heres a link if you want to read more about it http://math.ucr.edu/home/baez/physics/Gene...lass/glass.html

I visit here from work, and only check with short intervals, so reading that much would be against my normal work:no work ratio

9BASE3 02-12-2003 02:13 PM

Can some one give me the cliff notes on this ****? Or is there maybe a corresponding short film? Thanks.

Try the web site for the "Millennium Cell" company. They have a fuel cell that runs on a borax compound.(they have a running test bed car.) They will probable get run over by the big car and oil companies, but its a very interesting and safer fuel than hydrogen. Can you picture a car accident with liquid hydrogen!
