I've noticed there are a couple of pilots, aeronautical students etc. on the board, just curious who does what? Who has a pilots license and what-not.

Personally have 23hrs in a Cessna 172, 11hrs in a 182. Also got to fly a Cessna 310 once, that was a kick. Never did get my license, blew a bunch of money on the King Air, multi-media ground school courses but due to various amounts of bullshit never got much farther than proficient in case the instructor has a heart-attack https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

-i just finished my private pilots license.. about 50+ hours in a 172 so far

-about 10 hours doing reef surveys about 15 miles off the coast in a 182

-several hundred hours (doesn't count) shooting ILS approaches and flying around for fun in various jets; ERJ 145, GIV, Challenger 604, Global Express.... btw, the jet time is simulator time.... i work for a corporate flight training company. but simulator time counts as actual flight time. (only when an instructor is present)

Got my private pilot licence, about halfway done getting my instrument rating, and 3/4 the way through my commericial licence. Last time I checked I had a little over 150 hours in 152's and 172's, and a few hours in simulators. I fly a few times a week or at least try to. Last night I flew into Stillwater (for you OK people who know where I'm talking about), got a 93 caprice classic to drive around for awhile....ya know to pimp hoes. Flew back into Tulsa but got stuck in some bad weather that popped up, like level 3 T-storms. Got beat around for awhile getting vectored out of the area before I actually flew into the bad stuff. Probably wasted 45 minutes flying North around the storms before there was a gap for me to shoot through to land at my airport. Fun stuff.

I used to fly kites. My favorite was the Little Mermaid one I had!!!! I think my brother broke it though. After he and his friends took off the heads of all of my Barbies. Does that count as flying experience?

Flying for a cargo company doing on-demand charters. Basicly, sit around and wait for trips. Mainly flying auto parts from the suppliers to the car plants. Just started flying a Falcon 20...but I was flying a Shorts 360 for the last two years.

Here is a picture of the Shorts...

She is kinda ugly...but it is really fun to fly and rather unique. However, I just love flying the Falcon...rather old plane but sure looks good! Nice to be in a jet...finally!

I have about 3000 hours, mostly in the 177RG and the 421, but I've flown 140s, 152s, 172s, 182s, a 210, a Malibu, a Stearman, 10 hours in a Pitts S2-C, 4 hours in an Extra 300L, and one hour in a Pitts Model 12 (by far my favorite).

Model 12.

I got so sick of plane from being a flight school mechanic, but if I ever got back into it, this would have to be the plane. Damn that thing's sexy. 360hp plus gear reduction.

I've been an IA and A&P since '99, but I doubt I'll re-cert when the time comes, I don't work on planes anymore so there's no need.
