The transverse layout is the hydrogen hybrid in the Premacy van only.



The new engine is direct injected all aluminum and is currently called the 16X. Internally it is referred to as the "long stroke". It will go in the next 2 door rwd pure sports car but we probably won't see that until 2011 or so. There will be a cutaway of it at the Tokyo auto show. Speculation puts power in the 270-280 hp range and torque in the 190-200 range. We'll see soon enough.



It is not going in the Takei. It's called the Taiki. It is not a concept or prototype car. It is one of a 4 part series of design studies. Each is intended to show off certain future traits. The rear end of the Taiki won't make it anywhere though. An asteroid was just named after George Takei this week but Mazda didn't build it.

one thing i wish about the MS3. i love everything else about it.

yea i like taking them on road test, they rip for a stock car. sound pretty nice, handling seems pretty good too. couple recalls and **** but still a fun toy. like i said, if it was awd id trade the evo in for it, and come out ahead $ wise.
