I'm trying to gauge interest on carbon fiber lower lip. The lower lip will look exactly like the 99 spec but it'll be carbon fiber instead of plastic. We can also make carbon fiber side vents, carbon headlight cover etc...



I just need to know how many people are interested so I can start this project.



I'll need at least 15 people per item in order to start making them.



Price is TBD until I get a final count on # of people so if you're interested, let me know

i have actually seen that before, but since i have a 99 spec bumper it wouldnt have fit, so i didnt buy it

is it full CF or an overlay of the plastic lip?

Here're the price break down. The carbon fiber lower lip is as follows



$299 for 1-5 people

$250 for 5-10 people

$225 for 10+



I really need at least 15 people to make it worth the time to do this. This is full carbon fiber (left and right) and not overlay. They're exact copy of the 99 spec lower lip so it'll fit in the 99 front bumper and also fits in the OEM front bumper with minor trimming.



I'm also trying to make some carbon fiber headlight cover. left and right with vents.

you dont want this to be dry carbonfiber.... if you bottom out it will flake off and crack

yea dry carbon fiber is more of a hood/weight reduction thing but it dont hold up well to impact. id prefer a heavier more durable c/f.

I'm not sure if this is a go or not since it doesn't seem like much interest. I'll see if I could get a few other companies to do a buy-in to make it worthwhile. Honestly, prices will most likely go up if I have to get other shops involved so we'll see what will happen. I will let you guys know soon.

Can't really take pics if they're not made yet, My body kit guy is going to make them for me but they need a minimum of 15 to start. All I can say is that they're 99 spec lower lip in carbon fiber. I might have a couple of other shops interested so I may not be able to do a group buy if that happens.

you have to make at least one to show the product off.... no one knows how it looks, if it fits, what the quality is...



make one , take pics , then see if people want it.... you cant show pics cause you need 15 people to buy it in order for your guy to produce it....and people wont ever buy it without pics because it might look like ****







its like saying "hey i need 15 people to buy this, i cant make it until i have the money from 15, and then ill make it" and then you send them a piece of paper....or nothing at all, and just steal the money

I understand your point fully but if i could just make one, I'm more than happy to make one but the minium order is 15. Just like every proto type products, you can't just make one as a sample because manufactures don't have the time to switch their equipment and resources just to make one sample for you. I'm willing to spend the $5k to get the proto done but that means the production run will cost alot more to offset my initial cost. I think I'll just get other companies/shops involved and forget the group buy since companies are willing to spend the money for the initial investment than individual.

Mazdaspeed makes one allready and i'm not sure if it's still on jt-imports website but there's pics floating somewhere. If I could get the new Mazdaspeed hood replica for cheap, i'd definately get the lip to cpmplete my A-Spec look with my carbon '99+ wing. A durable front lip, would prolly have to be kevlar (like RE-A).

nah, my front lip was sent to chuck at rotaryextreme, i then used it as my deposit for the diffuser group buy...





this guy's forum name is skunks..... he's sent me some cool carbon fiber stuff in the past..... so i trust his workmanship
