Hey guys,

well, I have returned alive from Iraq and am happily at the shop turning wrenches https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Gotham is looking at hosting a potential groupbuy. What you'll get:

Zinc Plated stock-sized Brembo front and/or Bradi rear Rotors and Hawk HPS pads, with Cryo-treatment on all components.

Our regular price for both axles (without the cryo-treatment) is $488. I'm shooting for this price with the cryo treatment included, which lists for $120 on their website. The more interest there is, the lower the price will be.

In the past many have been hesitant b/c of the lack of choice--the rotors we sell came one way, cross drilled and slotted. Now we can offer you your choice of x-drilled, slotted, neither, or both. All rotors come zinc plated (unless non-plated is requested), which will prevent rusting on the rotors.

I spoke to our contact (Travis) at Cryoscience indepth about their services. On their website they claim "Disc Rotors run around 120 Degrees Cooler & Last 2 to 3 Times Longer." He told me that road racers have verified these numbers time and again, and they stand behind this statement 100%. I know that I'm interested in this for my FD, and I think that a lot of you FC guys will be interested as well.

Go to www.Cryoscience.com for more info on the treatment.

Trying to gauge interest here. What do you guys think?

Goodfellafd3s 09-12-2003 03:22 PM

Ok, some clarifying info:

We can basically make a package to order. That is, :

Rotor and pads, or just rotors, or just pads.

Front and rear rotors/pads, just front, or just rear.

X-drilled and slotted, just x-drilled, just slotted, or plain blanks.

Zinc plated or not.

I would assume everyone wants them cryo-treated, as this is the basis of the potential group buy.

I have to work up the pricing for each individual package. It will not be finalized until I can get firm pricing on the cryo treatment.

Let me know what you want, guys......the cryoing will add a bit to the process, but we should be able to have everything to your door in 7-10 days after payment.

take it easy,

Here are the details, in addition to what is listed above.

All brake rotors, whether 2nd or 3rd gen, front or rear, are $175.

Zinc plating is $20 extra per rotor.

All pad prices are as listed on our website.

The cryo treatment is normally $25 per rotor and $10 per axle of pads.

For all orders through 21 September, the pricing on the cryo treatment is as follows:

---up to 20 rotors ordered, $10 per rotor and $5 per axle of pads

---more than 20 rotors ordered, $5 per rotor and free treatment on pads

Please call our shop (the number is on our website) to place an order. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask them here.

thanks guys---

Goodfellafd3s 10-02-2003 01:42 PM

Edit:

between 20 and 39 rotors, $5 per rotor and free cyroing on pads.

40 or more rotors ordered, free cryoing on both rotors and pads https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Tell all your buddies.......40 rotors is only 10 complete sets, so this should be easy to reach https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

Lol......whoops! I meant to say October 21st. We have decided to extend the offer until the end of the month, so 1 November is now the drop dead date......

r0gu3 10-08-2003 05:00 PM

You should combine the threads .... would make it easier. I am down. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Dramon_Killer 10-08-2003 10:07 PM

Will these rotors work for a MKIII supra or are they diff?

Goodfellafd3s 10-09-2003 08:38 AM

We can get them for the supra under the same pricing. This can be worked into the group buy without a problem.

pinfield357 10-14-2003 10:21 PM

so im looking at $430 for all 4 rotors with zinc... if thats right im in

but im unsure if i want cross drilled or not i have heard some horror stories about cracking

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif

pinfield357 10-15-2003 01:30 PM

sorry im gonna have to pull out im gonna buy a set of wheel instead

Dramon_Killer 10-16-2003 12:02 AM

Ok, so a set of fronts is 175?

Or is it 175 per rotor?

Silver Ninety Three 10-16-2003 09:07 AM

It is $175 per axle (that's fronts or rears) plus $20 per axle for zinc treatment. Any additional cryo treatment charges (it should be free) will be added after the groupbuy is finished.

Any other questions, please call me at the shop https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Dramon_Killer 10-17-2003 01:03 AM

Dangit, such a dilemma. I wanna buy some but i don't wanna go buying rotors for a car i don't have. And i don't wanna go buying rotors for a car i might not have in a few weeks.

Anyway you could extend the gb?

Scrub 11-02-2003 10:10 AM

I'd like some slotted/drilled rotors, stainless lines and endless pads please https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png How much?

rotary-tt 11-07-2003 03:05 PM

How does their treatment compare to Frozen Rotors ? http://www.frozenrotors.com/frozenrotors.shtml

Frozen Rotors supplies quite a number of CART, NASCAR, Trans AM, Motorola/SpeedVision Cup and SCCA ProRacing teams use them. Looks like their price is $470 for 4 Brembro rotors. According to them, cryo of the pads does not do anything.

Yours sounds like a good deal if the cryo process is the same.

Dramon_Killer 11-08-2003 01:24 AM

What happened to this GB?

Goodfellafd3s 11-10-2003 05:22 PM

Yes, their process is the same as frozenrotors.....all cryotreatment is essentially done the same https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png.

This GB is juuuuust about over. We've got 4 definite for 4 rotors each.....if more people jump in at the last minute, the cryoing price will be cheaper.

Scrub 11-11-2003 09:50 AM

I've already payed pEEps https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png Are these puppies lighter then the stockers?
