First Rotorfest I've attended, though it was cool but I lost interest after a couple of hours. I'm suggesting having sponsers or more knowledgable members do some demos or how - to's. Even if its only on turbo topics think everyone would be interested.

Rob x-7 07-02-2003 05:02 PM

you would probably get a bunch of know-it-alls who would

critisize with something like a turbo thing.

I would give one on buffing paint, maybe buff someone's hood or

something. Not like I would try to show someone how to paint.

vosko 07-02-2003 05:07 PM

honestly most mechanics are vey busy!

its a great idea but when it comes down to it......i'm not sure anyone will actually do it.......

Rob x-7 07-02-2003 05:09 PM

maybe getting a sponser who is a vendor to bring a table of giveaways

and some new goodies to show and tell.

vosko 07-02-2003 05:13 PM

i will work on it. most of the vendors were tapped out so they couldn't give anything. we will try to make next year better! bigger better and more free stuff!

we hope anyway https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

UniqueTII 07-02-2003 05:17 PM

With the turnout this year, you should have some pull with vendors.

Maybe you could have Ito port my engine...you know, as a demo. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png The problem with a lot of demos is the amount of time they'd take.

turbovr6 07-02-2003 06:48 PM

I'll give a demo on how to kick someone's ass when they drive like an ******* through Parsippany!!

On a side note, we did try to get some vendors like Vosko said, but everyone was cheap(except Chuck). Now that we have pics and video of the huge turnout, it may turn some heads and get us some help.

To cure the boredom some people spoke of, I am going to push to make ROTORFEST 4 both a car show, and a day of dragracing.

I figure We can still have the show, but add another dimension to the event. Even if you don't want to race, it's still fun to watch. Plus if we had the track to ourselves for the day, lots of rx vs. rx grudge matches can be settled

rotarychainsaw 07-02-2003 07:59 PM

Sounds good!

I had the same suggestion for the Car Club over where I live. People were shocked I worked on my own car and actually showed an interrest in learning about what the hell I am driving.

Hey i was out there fixing TIIs LOL

Is hard to get mechanics to come out for this, hey they work everyday for 5 days. Is kind of hard to get of their house to go see more cars on a sunday than spending it at home with your family.

Hey Vosko, how about renting Island dragway by you on a sunday???

Maybe next year i can have so of the local Formula Mazda racers bring their cars, Maybe even drive them around a little bit too https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683827.gif

Sounds like next years is gonna be good anyway you look at it. I do think that some type of schedule of events would be an improvement.

Did someone say video? Where? I missed any video footage.

if u wanted to learn anything all u had to do was stand by when ito spoke. if u think he sounds knowleable here on the net, u should hear him speak.

if u guys do get the track we could have a burnout contest for ppl without line locks and divided by gens or NA and turbo. how about for entertainment we do a rotary blow up contest. lol or if anyone finds a cheap used 12A, we can bet how long it would last without oil and have a decent give away for the guy that was the closest. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

vosko 07-08-2003 09:58 AM

turbovr6 07-11-2003 06:04 PM

I really think next year we will have to hold the event at some sort of track. Drag strip, road course, ect. We can't go back to parsippany, we've outgrown it, and we har on the police hitlist now LOL

Apex13B 07-21-2003 08:59 PM
