Everyone seems to hate quickbooks, there really isn't to much out there geared to handle small trades type business.

I wonder if I should wait and see what the fall out is from windows 7 before I bother buying it... The other option is just buy a 400.00 laptop and use it, but the mac is such a nice machine to work on.

Hit me up on message if you want. How big is your company and what are you trying to accomplish? The main downfall with QB for Mac is client invoicing. Do you plan on having a bunch of reoccurring invoices? If not it will probably do the trick for you. Are you planning on using payroll, inventory tracking, budgeting, within QB or what? If you set up either version correctly you can make it work. QB is like windoze it can work. If you have a small business you may not even know that its crappy software. You run into issues when entering GJ entries hitting multiple AP and AR accounts - the issue is you can't do it. Also it has issues switching between cash and accrual accounting it doesn't work 100% right but if you pick one version and stick with it and understand your accruals and cash are effected by entry date. It can mess up your liability tracking.. again if you pick one and don't try to do both it works. I have managed companies with 3M yearly budgets and it works fine. I am currently managing a 22M project that spans 2 years in QB - yes by their choice because the 15K alternative is too much to spend on accounting software. It does work you just have to manage your PL & Balance sheet on a monthly basis and make sure the numbers look good. If you do that your fine.

If your doing the books and your not an accountant take a class for a couple bucks from QB and you will be in blissful ignorance and not even know what a flaming pile it is. The only people who hate QB are accountants so if your not one don't worry about it. OR if you don't want to do it do what everyone else does hire someone.

I think I'd like to go PS3, but my xbox is still kickin'. If I get the RROD again, I'll go the PS3 route. I just can't justify $300 when the xbox still works fine.

The sad part on Microsoft repair site they even call it an RROD error. what a ****.

i ordered the slim 120 gig version, i got the new remote that does ir and bluetooth. I bought Endwar, socom and an old hockey game. Will prolly pre order GT5 and Bad Company 2 and have more games then i had for the xbox, i don't need many games i stick with the ones i like, I had socom and gran turismo as my only two games on PS2 for a really long time. I got endware for free basically, it had the headset and the game for $40 new. Oh i also pre ordered the new Super Mario Bros for wii when i was tradin games.

I have no employees and no inventory, its parts in/parts out. Its just the amount of parts that has become the problem.
