yea the 256 thing seems pretty insane to me, but it might be fun since there are goals set. I don't like the large amount of players in socom, i stick to the 8v8 games.

not with the contracting company. after having it out with the upper management morons a few times too many they fired me. they've been trying to fire me for awhile but never had any paperwork against me so they couldn't. this trip i woke up late a couple times and got a couple write ups from a new quality assurance guy. they gave me paperwork for everything that happened so that they could get enough to justify firing me. fun times.

Zipper made the original socoms which was a great franchise until Slant 6 took it over. MAG is a great game, you have points you spend on items, you have points you get for being in command. You can be a squad leader, platoon leader or officer in command. There are three factions and each faction competes for "contracts" as they are all mercenaries employed to protect corporate assets or attack other corporate assets.

When joining a game pick the one where it assigns you where yer needed you'll get right in. I usually play sabotGe and never wait more then a few seconds. That's really strange.

ok. i think the long wait was only associated with the suppression game mode. i went to sabotage yesterday and it was rather quick.

So who's getting mag2? I want to get it with the motion controllers. The e3 demo of them using the controllers looked instinctive and quick.

Maybe I'll pick up Mag 1 when #2 comes out! I'm sure it'll be cheap.

The concept of mag was great and if people played as squads to get challenges done it would have been great, but there were times when I was the only one doing anything and everyone else was running around getting killed like idiots and not playing the game,.

Lol in the lower ranks you'll have a lot of that. In the upper ranks they're trying to keep their k/d ratio and win records up so the gameplay is much better and more frustrating at the same time. When I start a new fps I'm happy just to be playing online with something new. When I start ranking up I start setting my goals higher so when I die or my team loses I get pissed haha

I am looking forward to SOCOM. I have always had a soft spot for socom, it was the first online playstation game I played and that was in the BETA days of Socom. I did the rank reset 4 times on black ops before I got bored with it. Black ops was a decent game, but there was not much point, its a run and gun game even on the "tactical" settings.

Rent battlefield bad company 2. If your group doesn't work together, the team loses. They have a couple run and gun maps, but most you need to place people strategically and they have to be the right class in order to capture flags or blow up/defend MCOM stations. Each class has a specific type of weapon that they get to use and abilities that coincide with each class. And you can kill someone with a defibulator. Tons of fun lol

I almost bought BFBC2 for my ps3 (I had it for xbox), but then I heard BF3 is coming out later this year, so I'm holding out for that.



I still like BLOPS. I don't play it often enough to be any good, so I'm not even bothering with prestige. I usually just pour some whiskey and have fun. I love the wager matches, they get pretty crazy.

You can play the Socom 4 beta right now for free on Playstation Marketplace. Give it a try. I'd be playing, but i don't have my cable internets this week.

I'm concerned for battlefield 3, the newest medal of honor (came out a bit after bfbc2) is from the same company and I only heard negative things about it. Hopefully they learn their lessons for battlefield 3 or else it'll fizzle like medal of honor did

I got the mag demo with Socom 4 haven't played it though.
