I've always been a fan of these games, they offer an addition dimension of interacting with music you enjoy, short of learning a real instrument and learning to play the songs.



When I bought the Beatles Rock Band, I also bought the Rock Band drumset (a barely used one). Apparently the design is flawed, we broke the bass pedal in half last week. I bolted and glued it back together, and broke it in half again a couple days later, in a different spot.



Bought a used Guitar Hero World Tour drumset last night for $30, the bass pedal is designed much better (though I wish it would stay put!). I also prefer how it actually makes contact, like hitting a button. Whereas for the Rock Band bass pedal, from what I could tell, it was actuated by what looked like a magnet getting close (but not touching) to something that picked up the signal, which made you lift your foot all the way up before striking the pedal again.



But, man, having that extra orange cymbal "button" sure does make the game waaayy more difficult.

My neighbor and I would occasionally play Guitar Hero at his place. He's a pretty heavy smoker and his game system crapped out. Also, one of the "guitars" was like two pieces, and the contacts between the body and the neck were flaky, and sometimes it wouldn't work right. A different "guitar" fixed this problem, but I think the game experience is spoiled somewhat by the cheesy plastic bits that go along with the software. Wouldn't be so bad if that cheesy plastic didn't cost so damn much! So they get you for the software, then jack you up on the crappy instruments that break when you look at 'em funny.



In spite of all that, I'm a fan. Great game. Lotsa fun with beers and a 500-watt amplifier. My neighbor's in a band and plays bass, guitar and drums for real.

What's funny is we actually have several acoustic guitars, a full drum set (that nobody in the house really knows how to play well at all), baby grand piano and several wind instruments gathering dust. I almost finished my cookie tin banjo, and put it in a closet, haha.

perhaps your bass pedal isn't made for feet the size of yours mashing down on it.



A friend of mine kicks ass at guitar hero and rock band, she plays online all the time. I on the other hand, have played twice both while intoxicated and did terrible

lol i've done pretty well with those games, but the x wife stole my instruments haha. i still play when i get to steal my brothers guitar haha. fun game, especially for parties

I do wear size 13, that may be it!
