actually the frame is not too bad 2-3 people can lift it, the 20b was almost the same (it felt like it)

mike

1 person may have a hard time with it until they get it balanced properly. That 20B must be pretty heavy with everything attached.

Yeah but I already knew how much it weighed. But he's better than me...

Nope. Everything works. Who needs the sensor anyway? You already have an oil pressure gauge. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

phinsup 08-14-2002 11:36 PM

**** that, guage is always moving drives me fuggin nuts so I just clipped the wire to it at the back up the instrument cluster and boom, no more watching that piece of ****.

you guys are weirdo's...all the stupid gauges I ADDED to my car and you guys are disconnecting the stock ones... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/moon.gif

j9fd3s 08-15-2002 08:43 AM

it seems on the 20b that, the oil level sensor wire didn't like being dragged under the motor, the tach is possesed by demons (it jumps around), i forgot the speedo, the 20b does not have an oil pressure, so neither do i. alls i gots is boost and water temp

Yeah, it seems that everyone on this board just wants to remove something from their car.

You could always just get some aftermarket gauges. IS the tach just acting up, or is your ignitions signal going crazy?

j9fd3s 08-15-2002 11:41 AM

its like the tach output from the e6k is load dependant, either that or i've got a loose wire, and of course i havent calibrated it yet http://members.tripod.com/~grannys/rx7tachrecal.html , so even if it had a good signal it would be way off

I took my taillights off too. They didn't really serve a purpose anyhow.

Does it fluctuate or is it just losing the signal? When that tach acts funny does the car acrt up?

j9fd3s 08-15-2002 01:24 PM

the tach just kind of jumps around, it seems load dependent, but the car doesn't run any differently

mike

Then it's probably just a wire. If the signal was bad you would know it. A bad signal can sometimes be helped with MSD 8509's.
