I'll log in, and click the "keep me logged in" button. Next time I visit the site, I'll have to log in again, without deleting cookies or changing any of my settings.

Also, I'll log in, view a thread, hit reply, then it'll tell me to log in again. I type my info, hit the log in button, and it'll bring me back to the login screen. After 4-or-so tries, I'm logged in.

edit: actually when I hit the "post new topic button" after typing this, I got:

The error returned was:

Sorry, the link that brought you to this page seems to be out of date or broken.

And had to hit the login button again.

Try deleting cookies and taking the cookie again, it sounds like a cookie issue, nothing changed on the forum software in a couple months (no updates) so i'm gonna guess its on your end.

Deleted cookies, then logged in. Gave me this message 5 times before it logged me in:

The error returned was:

Sorry, the link that brought you to this page seems to be out of date or broken.

(then it gave me the same thing twice before I could post this reply)

wut browser????? like i say it has to be on your end, nothing has changed here in several months.

phinsup 04-28-2008 03:22 PM

Just do me a favor try a different browser, let me know what it says. Try something decent like Opera or Safari.

Have you recently installed new security software? Have you somehow made it onto the gov't watchlist? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.gif

i have this same problem for the last month or so...

i havnt changed browsers or anything like that. it just kinda happended out of no where.

phinsup 04-28-2008 03:54 PM

wow, thanks for the input i'll get right on figuring it out, let me get my magic eight ball out and see if it will tell me what piece of **** browser you are using, that way i can see if i can recreate the problem.... or and this is going to sound absolutely ******* crazy when you post an issue, LET ME KNOW WHAT ******* BROWSER YOU ARE USING.

"My car's broke, it doesn't do anything, please help"

If anyone else posts in here without the post starting "I am using Firefox version, 4,553 and..." hell, if i had all that info it might just happen that both you updated a browser and the new version is causing headaches or it might be that you are using two separate browsers and I could look elsewhere... instead magic eightball said "the future looks good" which is little to no help

phinsup 04-28-2008 04:03 PM

OK i may have it fixed, although i don't know as its not an issue for me.
