Is this forum being extra slow? I can click on some topics and it'll load - but the "post your ride" thread - it won't load for **** since I posted in it last night. WTF?

phinsup 06-18-2003 01:33 PM

It's the thumbnail feature seems to be slowing load times.

Turned off thumbs, we'll see how that goes.

Moving to appropriate forum.

i thought the thumbs were saving space they were ok i didn't really see any slowing down

christi 06-18-2003 01:37 PM

I either can't get on certain threads cause the forum times out, or my threads are not showing up after submitting and says it's been posted, I see it being posted - but when I reload it's gone?

I think i'm going insane. Too much coffee this morning https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

No the thumbs don't save any space, it still uploads the exact same size file to the server, it was supposed to make load times faster and not resize pages for large images... LOL it seems to have accomplished the page resizing, but that's about it, I wonder if we increased the thumb size to say 250x250 or something if that would increase the loads...

phinsup 06-18-2003 01:42 PM

It does annoy me when images stretch the screen, but it only applies to uploaded pics, not offsite linked or sigs...... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

I'll merge this with your original post, everything is fine on the server side, must be an issue on your end. Or routing, try a tracroute.

Christi needs to stop bitchin'. LOL
