Well we may half to put this out for some feedback. I ave narrowed it down to a couple options.



I thought I had the decision all made, but I keep changing my mind, too many ups and downs to both.

My interest is peeked :eek: When do we find out what the hell your talking about :tounge:

It's the "R Experience" a whole new Nopistons.com... a whole new rotary forum :thumbsup:



Now if I could just figure out what that is going to involve LOL

I am finally making some decisions on where this is going... some more clues??



So here goes:

The "R Experience" will be THE fastest forum on the net, you will think the current nopistons forum is slow compared to the new. It will be feature packed, features you have never even thought of and when completed, a whole new nopistons.com website will be born.



HA HA, now I just have to figure out how to make that happen!

Did hell freeze over? I must have missed that on the news!

Well it looks like the plans have changed again, I was beating around the idea of using another free software, it is quite fast, but has not been around long and is not as featured as the pay software... so i think we will opt for the pay option, sacrifice a little speed for stability and features!

I closed nopistons.net for a bit yesterday, re-opened it this morning, I was testing some new forum software.



Anyhow it's back open... obviously most people already figured it out cause there is 62 people online right now...

so is anything new gonna happen to the site in may?

Yes, and some already has. We have completed the server move. Waiting for the domain to resolve, everything went off without a glitch.



And yes the "R Experience" will take place in the first part of May. Although I have not finalized the details as of yet. :bigok:

OK at this point I am shooting for May 11 for the opening of the new forum no promises, but I will try to shoot for that date.

Things are looking ahead of schedule... depending on what I am able to get done next week, we may end up with a whole new nopistons.com before 5/11

Well a little plan change, we have decided, trust me vosko and I have been beating this back and forth for quite some time, to go with the balls fast software. The advantages and disadvantages to both options are really nothing major, just little stuff. Being the fastest forum on the net is important and we'll accomplish it with this upgrade.



Will I have it done by May 11? Most likely not, but I am still going to shoot for it. I should have the forum software upgrade completed, just the not new site. We'll do one at a time as I am swamped right now with providesite.com, response has been somewhat better than anticipated so it keeps me busy.



Please let me know what if you have any questions, here is the outline of the "R Experience"



1. Faster, faster than anything out there.

2. Feature packed, every feature you could ask for and more

3. php coded

4. A great new Nopistons skin.

5. Late May early June a new look to Nopistons.

Pushing this back... May 18th. Somewhere between this weekend and next I hope to have the new software details finalized and move forward quickly on the installation. I anticipate a very short down time... prolly about 2 hours, if that.

We are on schedule for next weekend, however I need some time to test the software, so depending on when I have software in hand, will depend on when the new forum goes live. We are still shooting for the 18th, but that is if everything goes perfectly... if not well you know the drill.
