Scott, I have done that.. I can even send a test message fine, but when I send an actual email, it gets all screwy - here's the error and my settings, see if you can see what's wrong.

Your host may not allow sending on other hosts. Just use their mail server as the outgoing. Earthlink is on eof hte ones who does this.

it works on Outlook express on my laptop.. same host. Comcast.

yea comcast shouldn't matter, dunno makes no sense I have a box with outlook XP works fine.

okay, so it's my outlook.. I can't logon to any email servers for outgoing mail.. not even Comcast.

I have a monitor with a two way switch with two XP boxes on it, I need something that is easily noticable as being the other box. I don't really care, I don't use XP as my primary system anyhow so I could give a ****. This way I can tell by looking at a blank desktop which keyboard I need to use
