300 miles, wow

I wouldnt mind going with one or 2 other cars, but anymore then

that and it always gets fucked up, you always end up waiting for

someone who is late to show up.

Geoff, don't go with Mark, unless you're prepared to go 95+ the whole way. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png I'll probably head straight to NJ from here if I can go, otherwise I'd cruise down with you.

My route is 1106 miles...hopefully the new stereo equipment keeps me awake. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

When I went last time there were short sprints of 150 Ed. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png Of course this time I wont be leaving at midday!

Mark isnt going to be attending though as hes doing the fishing thing in Alaska right?

What stereo equipment did you get?

UniqueTII 06-07-2003 03:15 PM

I wasn't sure if he went off to Alaska or not. I should do that next year.

My friend Matt gave me some stereo stuff in exchange for paying to go to STL a few months back. It's nothing major, but it sounds decent. Pioneer 12" sub in sealed box, Jensen (I NEVER thought I'd have Jensen stuff in my car) 4 channel amp, running the front Pioneer coaxials with a high pass crossover at 50x2 while the deck runs the rears (speakers in the doors are gone) and bridged to 300 going to the sub.

Not bad. I've found that the strain on my ears from listening to music at loud levels actually makes me focus less when I'm tired. My mind starts wandering and I usually turn the radio down pretty quiet but not off, plus sometimes stick my head out a window or sunroof to wake me up briefly if theres no place to pull over and nap.

Bass does tend to put me to sleep too...I'll have to keep it down if I get tired. Now cranking mids and highs, on the other hand, might help out a wee.
