im swappin a 13b n/a into my 82 rx7. we pretty much have everything done were just waiting for a few more parts and stuff to come in the mail. i bought a racing beat intake manifold for it so we could take the fuel injection off but we found out today that the carburetor from the 12a wont fit on the intake manifold and i was wondering what carburetor would fit on it. I NEED HELLPPPPPP!!!

Surely someone at racing beat can tell you what carb fits. That info might even be on their website.

Is this the manifold you've got? http://www.racingbeat.com/FRmazda2.htm

Sorry. Link isn't right, but they make an intake for a 600 cfm Holley.

I have heard people have got good results with edelbrock carbs around 500cfm in size. I can't speak from personal experience but I have seen some youtube videos of rotaries running with edelbrock carbs. Nice thing about the newer avs series edelbrock carbs is their design appears to be better suited for the airflow characteristics rotaries have. Wish I had personal experience instead of recommending something based on assumptions.

I had a edelbrock on a chevy once. What a P.O.S!!! Its just a stock carter with a plastic acelerator pump push rod. Mine bent right off the 1st hard stomp. Not to mention the float bowls will spill down the venturi at heavy G's.(hit the breaks hard and it dies, or climb a hill and it stumbles badly) Total P--O--S!!!!

I havent seen the new AVS, not shure if its the same thing as I had in 1993 or not (seen a edelbrock carb on the part store display last week that was EXACTLY the same one I had in 93). If i rember it was a # 9014 or 9006, Electric choke 600cfm P.O.S!!!!!

We use weber 48 IDAs with a 38 (I believe) on our 4 ports.
