I'm new to this forum and to the rotary engine, so please bear with me.
I'm looking into buying a 1991 Mazda RX-7. The current owner did an engine swap and put in a 13b n/a. The engine has about 45,000 miles on it and the body has about 110,000 miles on it. I know a good amount about cars and what not, but I don't really know anything about a rotary angine. So I was wondering if someone could please help me out. I was wondering if there is anything specifically that I should look for when checking out the engine. What should I look for to know if this engine is in good condition or not? Hopefully you know what I mean, any info about the car or what to look for or anything else that is related would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
Welcome!
The engine should be decent with that mileage in an n/a, get the receipts from the engine swap, you should do a compression test, take it out for a drive, get it up to temp, see if it smokes and or leaks . |
