fc n/a to fc turbo:

you will need ecu, harness (maybe), tranny, driveshaft, diff, axleshafts.

fc n/a 6 port with turbo:

im not really sure, since i havent done this, but i think you could get a header made to bolt the turbo to, whatever exhaust parts you want, you will need the intercooler (id get TII intercooler, and TII hood), you'll need an ecu, and maybe more, but i cant think of anything right now.

also, i wouldnt use much boost with this setup, since n/a motors have higher compression ratios (9.7:1 n/a, 9.0:1 TII)

Do you have between 10k-20k? Access to a welder, lift, air tools at any time of the day? If not, don't bother asking. If you want somebody to do the swap for you, you are better off buying a TII.

The only way you have a cheap swap is if you go from a S4 or S5 N/A shell, get a S4 or S5 Turbo II motor, stock drivetrain from a Turbo II, and swap everything yourself. Can you do electrical diagnosing?

If you don't have access to any of this, just buy a nice TII for 3-7k. You will be better off.

Rotaryturtle- S4's had 9.4:1 compression, S5 had 9.7:1. The 6-port turbo has been done, but it seems not much power has been put out by it. The 5th and 6th port actuators is what kills it, as the actuators come on at around 6krpm, right around the middle of the turbo spooling. I am not sure how it is done to be honest, and I never cared to look.

what are the power ratings for these engines?

FC n.a. / FC tII / FD REW

ok, i dont know much about s4's, ive only had s5's

also, i would NOT recommend putting a turbo on a n/a motor. buy a TII.

i have done a 6 port turbo before ..and it ran pretty good ,but it needs to have at least 1600cc injectors all the way around and a microtech to work really good . a high compression turbo is capable of producing twice the power a turbo 2 can at half the psi. my first high comp turbo rx7 which had stock motor with 150,000 miles and an upgrade turbo had 278 whp @6psi using 550cc primaries and 720cc secondaries using the stock na ecu and an adapted maf and 48 psi of fuel pressure but it ran ruff but good .after a year and a half it broke .i was racing a vr4 3000gt reving to 9500 it leaned out because it was not tuned , compared to my 3rd rx7 which was a original turbo 2 which had a upgrade t04 turbo and a street port it made 280whp using 720cc primaries and 1600cc secondaries @12psi

huh? 6 port turbos dont work as well as 4 port turbos, thats why mazda built them the way they did. and if it was running rough, it obviously wasnt running good, was it?

one more thing: a 3rd gen turbo 2 does not exist. 3rd gen rx7's were twin turbo stock, a turbo 2 was a 2nd gen rx7 with single turbo stock.

i think he was meaning his 3rd car not 3rd gen...but thats just my opinion.
