Ok, This Swap Doesn't Make Sense

A friend of mine just bought a 2003 explorer limited and put 22s on it with a nice *** system, blah blah blah - he's loaded needless to say. anyway, the limited doesn't come with a V-8 and he was pissed about that. naturally, he is interested in my fd. so he asks me if he could put a rotary in his car. i just thought wtf? who would do that? but then i thought it would be pretty cool to have a 20b in an explorer, and if he can afford it, then why not? so my question is can it be done? i assume that it would cost loads of money if possible but it might be worth it to him.

i'd only put a 20b or bigger in it. a 13b just doesnt have the torque to get the thing moving.
i think it wouldnt be all that hard, but it wouldnt go anywhere its too heavy, tell him to get a real car first then we'll talk
i think a 20b would be perfect, and have no trouble moving it.

It would MOVE it, but the question is, where is that torque . . . with the gearing and weight of the Explorer, you want the torque as low down as possible. I just can't see it being a happy combination. But hey, if he's got the money to throw around . . .
