yeah... ill go ahead and say i dont want that thing clanking around infront of my feet under my hood or anywhere near me
|
have you seen the 4 sided rotory they came up with in the oval shaped housing... it collapses into itself as it turns and looks like it would be really efficient... its called the quasi turbine... i think thats how you spell quasi?? i dunno i just went to yahoo and typed in quasi turbine

I can't wait to try building a fepparic engine. I haven't seen the plans since 1991 though, but I've learned a lot since then. If it's a viable engine design, I'll probably be able to figure it out just from looking at the plans.

it wont work propetly because of reactive power between "pistons"
one piston on ignition will go to the left, and one to the right. don't know how to explain it in english :( |
Interesting concept. I take it there isn't a working example just yet.
|
that looks... interesting...
and as the dude said above, dunno if i'd like that flopping around in my engine bay. i'll bet anyone can find out some new way of making a rotary engine work. hell, give me a week to really think about it and i might even be able to. doubt it's possible, but a theoretical design is all it takes right? |

I say that thing have come a long way. Someone should try out Mr. Wankels original DKM and redo it with all the new sealing and plating technologies we use now.
It would be interesting to see the outcome of that. |
Scary looking engine!? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif I think I'll stick with the wankle.
