as I was growing up my older brother had a 240sx with a sr20 swap and it was crazy fast. I was wondering what I would need to do to put a sr20 in my 88 fc.

Go get a 240 if you want that swap.

Basically a 13BT can get just as much if not more power to the wheels as an SR20. The biggest difference would be low end torque, which is what you were feeling. So there would probably not be any point in putting an SR20 into an RX7. Don't get me wrong, SR20's are decent engines and I have nothing wrong with them, i think that it would not be logical to put one in when you have a decent platform to begin with.

well don't really know of a 20 swap into a 7. I have never seen it. However when people swap in the toyota engines (1j etc) they have to make a custom cradle.
