sometime this week the wiring will be complete on my rotary monster.....

me and my dad put a rotary in a 77 triumph spitfire here are the specs:

the motor is an 86-88 13b 6port

step one we took everything off of it pertaining to emmissions and fuel injection

step two the motor recieved a big streetport

step three custom jay tech style manifold with a holly 650 carb

step four modified rb header with no cats and dual pipes all the way back to straight through mufflers

5spd rx7 2nd gen tranny with a modified rx7 driveshaft.....

the only weak link right now is the stock rear end which im guessing will last about 2hrs so that will be replaced soon

you should know that the spitfire came stock with a 1500cc 4cyl putting out 62bhp a 4spd tranny w/o overdrive...i blew the motor doing 65 on the interstate https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

im so excited it will be crazy fast

With dual loud ass hell exhaust I'd say so.I'd love to hear that in a tunnel :bigok:

i know a lot of rotary guys say loud exhaust are ricer or whatever but i think that is silly i like a loud exhaust...i love the look on peoples faces when your exhaust is louder than a show winning sub setup :smirk:

That thing sure will be loud. I have the Mazdatrix true dual exhaust on my 88 and it is pretty stanking loud.

Congrats on your project man!

onthis car the guy ran the exhaust right next to each other right down the middle of the car with mufflers angled out to the sides...totally uncollected https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

My MG Midget's exhaust looks something like this:

It's really freak'n loud too!

Edit: I can't get the Monza tip to look right. Better yet, check out this pic: http://www.geocities.com/cd23c01/mg_rear.jpg (copy and paste the URL, or simply click the link and drag and drop the little 'e' in the address bar on top of the url and it will make the pic appear. This method always works for geocities). The tip is just hanging there in the pic because there was no engine in the car. Otherwise, it is nicely tucked under the bumper when connected to the downpipe.

unfortunately they had to whack up the rb header https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif

but it just wouldnt fit the rest of the motor however fits nicley and looks good w/o all that crap all over it
