Here it is:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2437811493

Any thoughts, tips, flames, etc...? I just wanted something fun for under $4000, and this seemed to fit the bill better than anything else I've come across in a month of looking. I do wish it was an n/a FC and not a turbo II that he hacked up, but other than that I think ~350rwhp and loads of torque should be fun!

Now I just need to learn about carburators...

BrandonDrecksage 10-26-2003 12:35 PM

thats nice man...to bad its carb though...have fun..take so pics

dgblkbelt 10-28-2003 03:43 PM

Yeah carb is not ideal, but I figure you can't beat a fairly clean, completed V8 project with new wheels and tires and suspension mods for $3800...

Rob x-7 10-28-2003 09:07 PM

eh, at least it wasnt a TII that got parted out like alot of them do.

keep us informed as to how it runs and drives.

You will learn a carburator in no time, its a piece of cake.

FikseRxSeven 10-28-2003 09:09 PM

looks like a great buy....... keep us posted

dgblkbelt 10-28-2003 09:11 PM

I certainly will let you know how it is... won't have it for about 18 days still (not that I'm counting...)

FiKsE l2X SeVeN Jr 10-28-2003 11:29 PM

nice buy...... congrats!

joe2dmax 12-05-2003 01:39 PM

so what happend to this car? im really curious on how this car goes. also how hard is it to find a 5 speed transmission that will bolt up into a 350/ 305 engine.

Travisty 12-05-2003 01:57 PM

yeah i am curious too.

lol, you have 2 posts and ur bitching about someone elses car already. why would you feel like an ass? a fast car is a fast car...why can't some people be open minded, ur just made taht it is faster than your t2 conversion

a t-5 would bolt right up to a chevy 350 or 305,but it isn't to strong but so would a t-56...a t-56 is the 6 speed in 93+ firebirds and camaros....the t-56 is the best choice

anarchy 12-21-2003 04:14 PM

hmm...get it dynboed..

"1969 lt1"..umm lt1s came in 93+ camaros/birds.

the reason people put pioson engines in those well..

with a no-bolt on cevy small block stock you can whip a viper in a second gen rx-7, grante dyour driveline can take it.

also youcan spray 125hp N20 shot and not even blink about it so..

TheAntiChrice 12-26-2003 12:40 PM

What kind of carb is on it? Edelbrock or Holley? I would suggest if you have the money and time.. swap the carb to a Holley Double Pumper.. those are the best carbs for your money besides Demon carbs but those cost a pretty penny... but on the bright side you can shop for your car now in Jegs or Summit https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif And thats funny as hell seeing that Mazdaspeed Strut bar crossing over a 350 small block...

actually the first small block to bear the LT1 name came optional in the

1970 Corvette and Camaro, some people called the 1969 LS1 camaro a LT1

as well, Ls1/LT1

then it was used in the 1992 corvette as well.

Nevermind these idiots that poo-poo powerplant changes. Their teenie-bopper bitchin' is nothing more than a constant annoyance. What's wrong w/ a SBC in a Porsche 914 or a 944 besides nothing?

How's the car running now? Was it a good swap?

87RX7NA 01-25-2004 12:22 PM

rx7kid2gtt, I wouldn't put a v8 in a 7 either... but it's just a preference thing, so don't bitch if someone else wants one. I'm just jealous of how damn fast that thing's going to be. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png

all im sayying is that the best think about rx7s is the rotary. now y the hell would you put a piston engine in or buy a car like that. ok its going to be a fast car but you have no respect from me.

PS. if you want to do something good for the car crash it in to a tree. i wouldent evin want after it had a piston egine in it ! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/ar.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/ar.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/ar.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/ar.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/*******.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...doublebird.gif

Travisty 01-28-2004 12:40 PM

this is a good friend of mine.

he payed the guy with a money order, and he went down to florida to pick up the car.

the guy let him take the car and as soon as the money order cleared he was gonna mail him the title.

so my friend starts driving back to upstate ny and about 40 miles down the road a wheel fell off or something.

my friend put a stop payment on the money order until the guy fixed it but the guy told him to **** off pretty much.

last i heard which was about a month ago , the car was getting fixed in florida and the payment/title thing was still up in the air.

BrandonDrecksage 01-28-2004 12:57 PM

damn...that sucks, i can't stand dishonest people on ebay..or in general

FYI for all you he will lose that it in cort if he wonted to do somethink like that. it is called buyer be wear!

BrandonDrecksage 01-28-2004 07:42 PM

but when you buy the car, unless the previous owner said something, th eprevious owner let him leave the house will the wheel about to fall, he could be charged with attempted murder because of the condition of the car, depending on how bad it was, but what does it matter? he put a stop payment on the money

I thought FYI stood for "****, you're ignorant!" https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Also, when you correct someone, first make sure you're correct.

"For your information, he will lose in court if he wanted to do something like that, it is called buyer beware."

(I corrected the missing capital letter and period and just let those slide)

The second comma should be a period, or, even better, a semicolon, as:

"...if he wanted to do something like that" and "it is called buyer beware" are two separate independent clauses.

A semicolon would be a better choice as it indicates a closer relationship between the clauses than a period does.

So, the two grammatically correct responses are:

"For your information, he will lose in court if he wanted to do something like that. It is called buyer beware."

or

"For your information, he will lose in court if he wanted to do something like that; it is called buyer beware."

Its not so much that you made it a mistake, it is just that you did so in correcting someone else, which just kind of makes you look like a tool.

Do I get to say you suck at grammar now? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
