I plan to do a turbo swap, and I was wondering does the s5 turbo engine harness work with my dash harness with the turbo s5 ecu? Or would i need to change the dash harness from the NA harness to the turbo as well?

on the s5 they got smart and left the dash harness the same

excellent!!! So where is a good place to get a S5 engine harness? And when I plug it all up will my volt meter still be a volt meter? or will it be a boost gauge?

i would recommend buying a new harness, they are old a brittle, they are starting to have problems. i'm not sure what happens to the volt meter, i know if you swap clutsters it will work right for the cluster

What about the FD engine does that use the same plugs as the s5?

spark plugs? yes

harness is different, but some of the connectors are the same

I ment as far as ecu connection like can i get the FD engine and harness and ecu and use my dash harness plug?

you have to move a couple of pins around but the actual connector is the same

I thought a new wiring harness' from mazda was over a grand!

it depends on what harness you buy. the engine/emissions harnesses are around $500. the one that does the whole car is usually $1500ish
