I've heard of people putting a 13B in a Miata, which sounds cool. But what about an MX-6? To me, it looks like a mini 3rd gen, and it would be nice if it moved pretty quick. Nothing important, just wondering.

The Miata is RWD though. It would be a pretty good stretch to get the 13b to fit in the MX-6s engine bay in a front drive configuration. Then if it did fit, you would most likely need an adapter to mate to the transaxle. And before all that, the transaxle probably couldnt handle much more than a stock S5 TII can dish out, so if you want more power than that it would need to be beefed up.
It is a cool idea though. I like the MX-6 chassis. |
Someone really needs to figure out how to swap a rotary in a front driver. So many options you would have then.

Some guys in Australia have done a rotary swap into some 323's fwd and awd..
Australia seems to be a bit of a monster factory. You have any more info on these 323s?
J |
no, not really.. But If I remember correctly I saw the on the fast fours website.. I will go look..
rotary 323 Here you go
interesting...I wonder if that guy's death had anything to do with his car...
just buy an rx7 ........ they loook better than mx6's and you will save a lot of money
Mx6's look pimp(well the 93+ ones)If you want to build a mx6 get the 2.5L 24V V6 one. Those things are good haulers stock. If you want a rotary just get a FC.Or FD if your looking to spend some serious coin.
The link didnt work.....If you want to build a 93+ mx6 look for the 4cyl 5 speed car.....Alot lighter and handle better...Since the car will never really be that fast...Then in stock form you put on the knights turbo that makes 178fwhp at 6 pounds of boost.........Hell right there your running with the hondas with fat mods........

id like to know that guy's budget on the 3r, 323...

i was thinking about trying to figure out a way to stick a 13b TT motor into a geo metro. now that would be a sleeper, i wonder if it could be done. i have seen people putting viper motors into pt crusers. now that is sick as hell.
