Hi,



I've bought a Tii motor and I have a 89' rx7 NA. I'm trying to do the obvious.

So i'm new at this...and i ask what do i need in order to make it work. Do i need a Tii transmission or can i keep the NA's trans. ?



If i need parts (which i know i do)

Where is the best place to get them. I'm handing this all down to a few friends of mine and it is our project to start on this comming week. (hopefully)

I dont know a great deal about this, but I have heard that the N/A transmission doesnt hold up to the power as well. I dont know exact specs, but from what Ive heard, its not a good idea. I dont know if thats for stock boost levels, or for modified levels, but Ive just heard its a sort of "no no".



As far as parts, Im not sure what you think you might need, and I cant really think of anything else you might need other than exhaust. I know you will need a turbo downpipe, but Im not sure how that will fit to the rest of your exhaust from the N/A engine.

I can get the trans. exhaust through my performance shop... so.. i think that would be doable... anything else?

i was looking to do the same thing when i had my gxl.

in my research i was told you need



motor, trans, driveshaft, diff, halfshafts, ECU, wiring harness, turbo, manifolds ect. , and a few other misc parts.

YEah, you can use an NA trans if you put on a NA flywheel (pretty sure), but the tranny will explode when you get on it.



So the entire drivetrain out of a t2 is a start. Also if you go with a stand alone computer (haltec) you wont need the t2 harness or anything.

Yes, I have a real GTUs. That car is for sale acually. I'm messing around with a blown gtu though.
