Ive been thinking about doing this swap for quite some time now and im finally coming close to my discission.I have a few choices which one is the better idea in your eyes?

1)Do the swap along with the porting planned.

2)Keep the resently rebuilt motor and get better porting.Use the rest of the money leftover for mods and fashion.

3)Keep the resently rebuilt motor and get better porting.Use the rest of the money to buy RE Cosmo manifolds etc and swap them on.

Also if you know someone on the forum that has done this swap or just modified their manifolds an such with RE Cosmo parts let me know I would like to speak with them about the matter.

Thanks for your input.

ok well #3 doesnt work on an fc motor. i'm not sure why you would pull a good motor to port it, buy the turbo 1st!

Thanks for your input and telling me that I can't do that but didn't Jspecracer do the manifold conversion or something?

You still can swap them if your car is a S5 like yours. If I remember right its got something to do with slotting the UIM holes a bit.I saw a thread on it on the evil forum before.Don't you need a standalone to run those mani's tho?

I don't think you would need a stand alone for just the RE manifold..you might to do something with the ecu so it don't freak out when it sees all that air. perhaps a remap for the new manifold. You do need a stand alone if you want do the engine swap tho. oh yes 4RR the 13b-re and the 20b have ever so diffrent TB's

If you want to read about my swap you can find it here, www.rx7turbo.com

This discussion has made its rounds and everyone has their opnion. With the cost of a Cosmo engine, and if yours is working fine, I would go with #2. This way you have a fresh engine, and more power mods than you would have with the Cosmo. I would make a list of all the costs and decide for yourself. I think you will find more HP for the money sticking with what you have.

My 2 centavos.
