Hey Guys, I was wondering if anyabody has any kind of exposure with the wolf 3d. I'm thinking hard about it. Is it better than the haltec e6k?? Does anyone have any input on the standalone unit? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png

anyone??

I installed it on my tII but im still in the tuning process, but it seems to be a excellent ecu.

It is more comperable to the haltech e11 than the e6k.

fast processor, easy programming, can contol boost, all the auxillaries, and can run closed loop.

i give it two thumbs up! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Thanks for the info...How do you find tuning it? What about support? Have you tryed anything that doesn't work and ask support for it?

I'm really interested in this, but just want to have some feed back before anything hits me dead on.

Ok, the us tech support guy is Chris from checkpoint motorsports in cali.

Or you can email Steve from Aussy tech support. He gets back to you very quickly.

Or if you have basic questions I would be more than happy to help you out, seeing as I've talked to chris like 10 times and my swap was very extensive. I'm running a "Chris-spec" ignition system with 4 blaster ss coils that is AWESOME!!

If you want to get a better idea, just download the software at www.wolfems.com.au and I'll mail you a map of my setup so you can see how the fuel and ignition maps explode and collapse making initial tuning EXTREMELY quick.

collapse for broad adjustments to get the car to pull clean, then explode it more to get the map perfect.

at it's finest detal you can adjust every 125 rpm and 16 different load points depending on what you set your perimiters at. (like if you set your maximum adjustible pressure to be 12 psi you would be able to fine tune more than if you set the maximum to 20 psi.) I hope you understand.

any more questions feel free to ask

Doesn't the Wolf still required a "modified" stock ignition trigger?

Uh, no thanx.

NO it does not.

I'm using my 100% stock cas. Aligned by the stock instructions.

thats sounds great!! send it to me.

You need my email?

mazdadrifter 04-17-2004 11:08 PM

pm me your address, if I click on your link it won't let me attach objects.

mazdadrifter 04-17-2004 11:14 PM

I just saw that you had an fd wolf actually has a adapter that lets you plug the wolf directly into your stock harness!! I'm sure it costs a little extra, but no where near the cost of having someone install it for you.
