I just spoke with Marco at MVA Motorsports concerning US availability of Microtech Products. They have in stock the LTX-8 and LTX-12. According to MVA the US Spec product differs from the Austraillian product in the following ways:

1. Comes with 3 Bar sensor

2. Larger Injector Drivers

3. Equipped with Datalogging Capability

4. Comes with all sensors

I was told these differences add to the price of the unit..

LTX-8 1500.00, LTX-12 1800.00

Now these are the features I had on a conversation with MVA today, based on this it removes the price factor when deciding between Haltech and Microtech.

According to Marco, Map resolution at idle is not an issue any more.

$1500 ! does it come with ignition ??? i'm pretty sure you can get a brand new E6K complete for $1000 now!

banzaitoyota 01-29-2003 12:33 PM

No ****, I sent an email to Austraillia to see WTF with the price differential

j9fd3s 01-29-2003 12:40 PM

wow that got pricey. thats too bad i kinda want a micro tech to run fuel only, but if its gonna be the same money as the e6k i'd rather have that

i love my E6K :bigthumg:

SPEED_NYC 01-29-2003 01:10 PM

i can get e6k's for 900 shipped with all the goodies, damn

bad enough microtech has a very small support base and only like 2 us dealers, but now they get the great idea of completely pricing themselvs outta the market! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

j9fd3s 01-29-2003 01:17 PM

yeah i mean thats their advantage, cheaps

mike

SPEED_NYC 01-29-2003 01:24 PM

No7Yet 01-29-2003 06:52 PM

those GB units are most definately comming from australia!

No7Yet 01-30-2003 08:10 AM

In this GB, the 3bar sensor is an US$100 option; given the recent strengthening of the Oz dollar, that's not bad at all.

"Larger injector drivers"? That's a null phrase - there's no difference between Australian and US Nippondenso/Bosch injectors, so why would there be a difference in the drivers? The injector timings is adjustable from 0-12.5ms in 0.06ms increments in all cases.

These units have FULL DATALOGGING and playback capabilities. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

This unit uses all of the stock sensors, as they all do. GM sensors are optional, but I'm going with the stock stuff for simplicity. The only sensor you have to buy is a map sensor (2bar or 3bar).

Oh, and all Microtech units come from Oz - just like all the Haltechs, Wolf3Ds, and (iirc) MoTeCs. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
