Im doing research for an upcoming swap and looking for a good stand alone engine manegment thats rotery capable...Any recomendations?

Back a couple years ago when I asked the same question, most of the frequent posters at the time recommended the Haltech, so I went with the E6X. It's a good unit, and I haven't got any complaints so far.

Thanks alot!...Ill give a lil time for some others to chime in,and voice there opinions as well,but from the little info you've given me it seems to be what Im looking for...Is it completely standalone? and is the sofware userfriendly?

I prefer Haltech, yes.

I think for beginners, the Haltech layout and user interface is one of the easier system to begin with.

What do the Haltech e6x units run new/used and how much more is it for the notebook hook-up for it?

Looks like SpeedMachine is selling the flying lead kit for $1100. It hooks up to any laptop with a serial port.

I DL ed the software,manual and wiring dio...and man,That is what Im looking for...Ill be using the Sensor pak as well,as this is for a swap,and I have no original wiring harness

Im not to kein on rotory ignition systems...Am I right in assumming that these are whats considered leading/trailing ignition system?

I'm running a stock 2nd gen system. I've heard of people running other systems, but I'm certainly not knowledgeable in that area. Anybody?

stock with an msd on the leadings is really good.
