can i use s6 pfc maps on a pfc for a s5?
thanks |
the s6 maps should be really close
mike |
so if i get a map for a pfc off of a s6 with similar mods as my s5, all i would need to do is fine tune the pfc for my settings regarding ignition and fuel? as a person normally would when they get maps from someone else?
the fact its a s6 map going onto a s5 does not make a diffrence? |
nope, the s6 map should be really close

mike i wont be driving my s5 all year its getting a new engine, then a ems..so im gathering as much info as i can.. thanks. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
in that case the power fc is good, because the base map runs the car really well, it starts hot, cold etc. something that the heltch doesnt do
mike |
so if the pfc is plug and play what exactly happens with the afm and the harness for it?just get rid of all of it?becaue i know the pfc doesnt use it anyways...

1.so ditch the afm and tie the harness away?
2.can i also ditch the omp and change a setting in the pfc so it wont try to detect it?reason for this is,this is why i blew my last engine...i hate the f$$$in omp i dont even trust a used one..i dont want to spend $1700 cdn on a new one..i dont want anything to do with the omp and i know pfc can control it and thats a advantage over haltech but i need to research both before i make a decision..so far i like the pfc grid it comes in i downloaded some excel maps..i also d/l the haltech demo.. thanks for replying j9fd3s,i never received so many answers in any other forums... |
1. i think so, i'm still looking into it, but thats what it looks like
2. the pfc doesnt care about your metering pump, or anything else for that matter mike |
Thanks, keep me updated on the afm

I purchased a avc-r...if i get the 3 bar map sensor from apex for it..can i ditch the afm on the s5?and use the power fc+avcr?obviouly id have to change the settings in the power fc to read it more boost...

Actually the base maps that Apex uses for s5 and 26 are the same. Ihave noticed that my maps are way different now than what anyone with a FD uses. especially in the fuel maps. FDs have 850cc injectors in the secondaries.........FC have all 550cc inj. My car has 720's in the sec. so My fuel is a lot different. Also I think most people run too rich anyway........but better safe than sorry.

I always use a resisor pack from a nissan sylvia with a turbo CA-18 the resistor pack is right by the Air filter and is easy to swipe when in junk yards.
