Any interest on PFCs for the FC? I was talking to Border-Racing on the

weekend, and I just thought there might be some interest. I can get the

PFC, and the adapter all in english..

Interested? Maybe a GB if there is enough people

vosko 03-04-2003 08:22 PM

wow very nice... lets see if people have the $$$$ lol

Apex13B 03-04-2003 10:27 PM

oh hell yeah..!!!!...just pm me with the good news and post this in the second gen forum

7mech 03-05-2003 04:33 AM

Where were you 2 days ago when I ordered my E6K? Dammit!!! I wanted the PFC for my fc, but I couldn't find one and now you're going to try and sell them. Damn you!!. Sorry, just venting a little. I think these would be great but they may not sell very quickly. Good luck and thanks for bringing in a new ECU option for the FC.

dynamite kid 03-05-2003 03:32 PM

does it come with all the sensors required?

neofreak 03-05-2003 04:52 PM

Does it work with the FD Datalogit?

dynamite kid 03-06-2003 11:57 AM

anyone have answers??

thanks..

j9fd3s 03-06-2003 12:07 PM

it looks like it uses the fc sensors, they work the same as the fd

Geoffman72 03-06-2003 01:24 PM

Will this be only for series 5 RX-7s?

dynamite kid 03-06-2003 02:46 PM

Regarding the fd datalogit.i asked glen if the datalogit will work for the power fc on a s5 and he said i shouldnt have any problems..

dynamite kid 03-06-2003 02:50 PM

The pfc for the fc is only made for the s5 in japan...

i just wanted to know does the pfc come with any kind of harness since we might have to use the fd sensors?because i think it would be a killer setup if we had the pfc with the datalogit on the s5..

thanks

dynamite kid 03-06-2003 03:01 PM

forget about the part where i said about using the fd sensors,i wasnt reading properly...nehow is there still a wiring harness for the pfc??

JT-Imports 03-06-2003 05:12 PM

Maybe we can find a Guniea pig?

I will check the prices, but I didnt here much except for

plug and play with the Type I-III FD PFC. Along with the

harness for the FC of course

dynamite kid 03-06-2003 05:20 PM

Guniea pig to test the pfc on a fc?

you need an s5 tps to make it work on yours. that should be it though

neofreak 03-07-2003 04:30 PM

Does it need to be changed to speed-density?

damn, if I had that PowerFC that was supposed to come with my car I could be the guinea pig.. oh well.

it looks like it uses the stock t2 map sensor

This is the info I got and nothing else.

You need a TYPE I-III PFC

Then all you need is this Harness

Then its all good from there.

I can try to get more info---Just e-mail me with your specfics, year of the car, engine etc....

Cheers! 03-13-2003 03:34 PM

how much?

Im working on it. I want to work something from (a company)someone

I know to get a good deal, that way no one is really out of much if any

money. Also if I finish my current job maybe I can had carry to a willing

victim in CALI (LA, ORANGE) area to be the PIG hehe

Ranzo 03-18-2003 02:50 AM

OK I have a Power FC in my FC I bought it at Border. It cost me close to 3000dollars US. First let me say that whoever said it uses a stock FC map sensor is wrong cuz we all know the FC never had MAP they were all AFM.

Border Will not sell Just a Power FC and Commander as Far as I know..........most shops in Japan will not. I had to let them install it......I opted for no tuning cuz that defeats the purpose and it also costs close to $1000 dollars for him to tune it..........**** that! Mine was a little more expensive cuz I purchased all the Apexi sensors such as the 3 bar MAP sensor and threw my AFM in the garbage. I also got the Air intake Temp Sensor and there was one other adapter I bought. these sensors and the pipe to go in the area where the AFM was boosted the price.

If you can come across a PFC you can use Stock FD Sensors to make it work I am not sue about the TPS on the FD because the FC has a two part TPS and they both read a voltage to the CPU.

I am in pretty good relations with Border and I have been Tuning the PFC on my car for a while now so If anyone has questions please ask.

what kinda adaptor was it that u got?besides the 3bar map sensor and the air intake temp...and when u were talking about the sensors and the pipe that go into the area where the afm was, is that called the "air flow meter adaptor"??

dynamite kid 03-18-2003 01:38 PM

one more question is the intake air temp sensor same as inhalation warm sensor?

Ranzo 03-18-2003 05:53 PM

Like said I can't remember.......maybe it was the "air flow meter adaptor" I was thinking of. and yeah its just a pipe that goes into the space where the AFM was. Intake Air Temp Sensor is a replacement for the sensor that goes in the neck just before the throttle body. As far as I know even in stock form it measure intake air temp. The one I have in my car is a much larger Apexi version. I am not sure what or where the inhalation warm sensor is......lol

Ranzo--- You talk to Rodney there? Thats who im talking to but this is on the back burner, we got other things going on

Ranzo 03-18-2003 10:40 PM

Yeah I am pretty good friends with Rodney, known him about 2 years or so and bought a couple engines from him.

they do, its on the right hand side shock tower

mike

Ranzo 03-19-2003 05:36 PM

They had a Pressure sensor which operated the guage in the dash and sent a voltage to the ECU which was used for saftety in limiting boost and on the later model FC's they had a boost module kinda like a EVC but all fuel and timing calculations were made by the AFM. I guess you could call it a MAP Sensor but the cars system was not based on MAP.

dynamite kid 03-19-2003 08:30 PM

so what happens to this pressure sensor when the pfc gets hooked up? i already have a fcd, should i be ok on that part?

thanks

Ranzo 03-19-2003 10:59 PM

The stock pressure sensor goes away and the MAP sensor replaces it which connects to the stock connector and to the connections for the AFM.

dynamite kid 03-19-2003 11:36 PM

perfect, and the intake air temp(inhalation warm sensor, lol) just replaces the stock one right?as for the air flow meter adaptor does a air filter go over the pipe?

Thanks

dynamite kid 03-19-2003 11:59 PM

disregard my last post, ive pretty much figured it all out..

once this power fc is hooked up it pretty much works on a fc how it would work on a fd..so i could use my avcr boost controller to control boost,i would just need to set the pfc boost a bit high so i dont hit any kind of fuel/boost cut and use the avcr to control it and splice it into the stock wiring..in all honesty this must be the easiest unit ive ever came across to install, now its the matter of getting one..i'll let u guys know if i got anymore questions, thanks for the replies once again..
