My friend who own's a tiburon wants to check these things out...

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them.

Looks scary to me. It seems like one of those, "10HP by adding this sticker!" kind of things. Also, if you look at the ECU chart, why do all of the cars they have listed range from 1990-2003?? First of all, there was no Tirubon in 1990. Second, even if there was, the ECU would not be the same.

If he wants to drop the money for it, go ahead, but there is no way I would. Unless I KNEW they would refund ALL of my money if I slapped it on, dyno'ed it, and proved to them it didn't do jack.

My 2 cruzeros.

yeah...i'm skeptical too

but it's cheap so if it doesn't work too well he can just throw it out...

but if it works, then it's a good bang for the buck kinda thing.

all it does is fool the computer to make the car run richer.

and i would hope that they'd have a different version for each car.

Pure snake oil.

New cars are tuned for best-power AFRs when WOT, and stoich only when cruising. I know if I put this on my Camry, it'd kill my gas mileage, it'd cause the ECU to limit my revs at 4k, and would delay torque converter lockup. Irritating, to say the least. 10hp is right out.
