Around $500 AUD for the Dash

MTX8 ECU about $1700 AUD with everything to run a 13Bt

vosko 10-12-2002 10:52 AM

so $1200 US ?

Robbomaz 10-13-2002 09:02 AM

At current exchange about that yeah. Maybe less, I am good friends with the local MicroTech distributor.Know anyone interested? They are a good unit for the price they are and setup is impressively simple. Add $100-odd US for DHL delivery.

i might possibly want one for my 89 TII...... deciding what i want to do with it though. i might give microtech a try and that dash would be really cool! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

It is Cool. I'll see if I can get some better pix of it for ya. The handset the ECU comes with has a 4-line realtime display. You select one particular screen and can read water temp, volts, manifold pressure, rpm & A/F ratio in real-time! The Dash replaces the handset & gives you a bar-graph tach and shift lights in one mode & the engine monitering in the other. It also has the handset programming functions on board. I didn't go for the Dash because 1) I'm an Olde Pharte and think a swinging tach needle is easier to track 2) I already had a too-cool-for-words sequential shift light!

MicroTechs dominate the rotary scene over here as they were developed for the rotor then moved into pistons. Looking at your TEC pricing on the other forum a bargain price too. I use the MTX12 for the 20B, full sequential 6 injectors, full sequential 6 plugs, inbuilt ignitors, uses all the Mazda sensors, TPS or MAP or a combo of both, max/min logging, 2 inbuilt memcals (I have a lean & advanced 'cruise economically to the event' map in one, rich & powerful race map in the other. It's great!

that's pretty good. i'd like to have that race dash on my TII if i turn into a drag race/road race car......

you can also use laptop to tune right ?

Yep. The software makes a GUI of what you do with the handset, with some cool timeline logging graphs. It is more basic than Motec software, but then so is the ECU!

Where'd that pic come from? Looks like a Gen 1 (car) dash behind. I have a buddy with a Gen 1,Dash & a cheesy red vinyl wheel like that one!
