to those of you who have or know how, is it very difficult to replace the factory map sensor with a 3bar upgrade? and also, how much are they? cutting, splicing, yaddayadda...and anything else tha tmight be pertinent to the installation.....

Well its been awhile since I upgraded mine, but I do remember I paid about 100 bucks and it should just replace the stock one with no problems.

did you get it from mazda, or is it a gm application? i believe that i ahave heard that you need to go with a gm unit......

Well I was wrong, it was 48.99. I am looking at an invoice and the part number is MSD2313....if that helps.

remember you also have to reset your powerFC!!!! you need the datalogit software!

well, i am getting the power fc here pretty soon, and am going to get it tuned at RP in dallas. i will have them adjust for the 3 bar sensor....

hey 94touring, i did not get whether it was a plug in application. and was the part munber that you gave me a GM number, because it is not crossing with anything we have here. i can get a gm sensor for $53 here, but it is definately not a plug in applicaiton...



finally, is it ok to go ahead and get it before i get an ecu? i am only running 9 lbs of boost, and never turn it up.....i was just wondering if it was compatible with the stock ec unit......

the 3bar is only compatible with the powerFC it will not work on the stock ecu. if you aren't sure just give RP a call since they will be installing it.....
