Are you looking for a standalone ECU? That will do what you want.

Yes. You'll be able to monitor all of the temps, etc., and you'll also be able to tune the car for your setup.

if you mean how ill be using the car ill mostly use it as a daily driver with a lot of street racing! and if you mean upgrades and stuff i havent decided between turbo or nitrous but i didnt think that would matter to much the main thing i need this for is just monitoring how the car is doing with out having to buy gauges and install them

Most if not all ECU's normally run in a closed loop mode. IE: they read all the sensors and adjust based on that data. However when they go into WOT (Wide Open Throttle). At this point the ECU runs off a MAP of the ignition and fuel maps. This is what you pay $$ for to have your ECU reprogrammed.

You can get a pretty good idea just connecting a digital volt meter to your O2 sensor. Although a wideband sensor and meter a tunners dream. Something like this Wideband meter.

Shooting for that perfect A/F ratio for max power.

Even with a standalone ECU you'll need gauges. Installing and tuning a standalone ECU is alot more work than installing gauges.

I think the Venom nitrous kits are controlled and monitered by their own computer so you can see whats happening. I know the kit they sell for the Jeep 4.0 comes with a 10lb bottle, lines and computer that takes readings off the o2 sensor, tps, and the fuel injectors. It also comes with a controller/monitor display that shows if you engine is running to rich or to lean. If your engine does run too lean, the computer will cut fuel to prevent damage. It looks pretty cool and relatively easy to set up.
