I recently installed my E6K and damn does it idle high. I've checked for vacuum leaks and can't find any. I don't think it is the lower intake manifold gasket because the engine only has 1000 miles on it. I checked the throttle cables, there is enough slack. I even played around with the idle screws but it didn't make much difference.

At the very first start up the car idled to 2000 rpms.

I configured the BAC via pwm output 2 and it droped to ~1500.

Anthing else I can do /check on?

Thank for any input, https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

mine idles at about 1000 rpm and it has a very big port..... you really have to play with the haltech to get it to idle nice....... i just spent an hour playing with just the vacuum maps and idle so much better now!

I would disconnect the BAC (for now) you shouldn't need it to unless you are running AC or cold weather.

May have a vacuum leak or If you removed your linkage at all. Double check it. I had a problem with both of these.

Mine will idle at 600 RPM with no problem. The Haltech doesn't have any controls for idle control (other than the BAC control). It's still all done at the linkage and Air screw in the top of the TB.

IF is not a vacumm leak, You might have not set the timing right. IF you haven't zero out the timing you are probably running alot of advance at idle and you don't even know it.

IS this a 3rd gen or 2nd gen?

Hey turborotor!, it is a 3rd gen

have you checked the timing. most people's cars timing is WAY off...
