Well, if things go well, I should be wiring in the E6X in 2 days on a S5 Turbo II car, any tips for me?
Right now I am planing wiring in the O2 sensor, CLT, MAT, TPS, and Map Sensors. Any real reason to wire in the BAC valve? Or it too much trouble. |
I would say just take your time with the sensor conectors that u make, i meesed one of them up and i ended up just buying clips from a junkyard and that worked better than hunting down new ends to make, i didnt mess with the bac because i removed it i say no reason for me to keep it on, also be very careful when wiring the ingnition i acidentally had 12v applied to one of the leading coil wires and it blew somethin inside so i had to send it back and that cost like 200 bucks, so all in all its fairly simple just take your time.

Yeah I don't want to do that. I will take my time doing it.

umm yeah i did have it disconnected during all the wiring and when we thought i had a bad coil we tested the coil by apping 12v to it because my ohmmeter was giving a strange reading, so basically im a n00b , but not that much of one |
i'd recommend installing a firewall quick disconnect also. Releives some of the wear and tear on ithe harness if you ever have to remove the engine.

ya im going to be doing the same thing i was just wondering the haltec dose come with instrucions and if it dose not were can i mabey fine a good walk through on it.

It seems like the X is rather buggy on ignition. Maybe this is due to RF interferance? I have seen that written a few times.
How do you gaurd against that besides making sure your plug wires are shielded? James |

Please ask the dealer if this is so. Try http://www.haltech.com/ They might have the manual in PDF format. -Ted |
