What is needed to install it in the FD? This is what i think is needed; E6K, coolant temp sensor, air temp sensor, map sensor, throttle position sensor (not sure), flying leads (what is this?). Is the whole stock harness eliminated, or do you splice the two together? I have searched, just thought i would ask some specific questions. I am looking to buy this setup used, if someone has it available.

Thanks, Brad

well your list depends on how you want to install the e6k. you can splice the e6k into the stock fd harness and run all the stock sensors, or you can use the haltech harness and sensors, or a mix.

haltech sells 2 kinds of wiring harnesses, the terminated; which has connectors on both ends, and the flying lead; which has the engine side of the harness loose and the connectors in a bag so you can make the lengths fit the car better

Thanks Mike. Do you or anybody else know the difference between the E6K and the E6A? I am assuming that the E6A is just an older version.

I got my answer on AIM. The E6A is just an older version, incase anybody else was curious.

I bought the terminated harness and really if I had to do it again I would have bought the flying lead. The terminated harness was just too long. I had to shorten every terminal to make a clean install. Also make sure you wire the igniter correctly. I had the trailings mixed up and it was a big mess. Luckly I didn't run it long like this and got it changed. But be absolutly sure about every connection and check the timing like hitman says! Make sure to check that the trailings are fireing when they are supposed to and not out of phase!!!!!!
