Well I got the car back this Monday(tuned for 14 psi with 4 new 720cc injectors). The car runs great at WOT and some part throttle spots above 3k rpm. The problem I'm having is that it won't hold its idle or idles for a short time. I still need to have it set up for closed loop and have the BAC pluged in, but I was wondering if maybe my TPS is going bad? I think there might be a dead spot in it. It will cause the car to sputter and sometimes hesitate when I push on the throttle. Can this be recalibrated? If not and I replace it will I need to adjust anything in my haltech setup? Also will the BAC help my problems any? Thanks.

your best bet is to call ari at rx7.com ...he's in texas tooo ......he knows alot about haltech he might send u a program to load in to see if it works... give them a call....

Ari doesn't give out to much technical advice. His partner Chris Ott does. Chris is the tuning guru. I don't want to call them because I had one of thier competitors tune the car after I installed everything.

theres a menu in the haltech to recalibrate the tps, you need to get the car hot first. its easy like calibrating a joystick for an 80's game

Ok I knew about that(just forgot),but will any of the other stuff help to solve this problem? Also what if the TPS is bad? Will a bad TPS cause this problem and if I replace it will I have to recalibrate it in the haltech?

a bad tps might cause the problem. if you replace it you do need to recalibrate it. you can recalibrate it then go into the date page and see if it works or not (it gives a %)

Thanks Mike. I'll try that the next time I get a chance.
