Who here has first hand knowledge on these. If it's experience with this unit and a kouki turbo FC, all the better. I'm thinking of going with this and I am looking for some input on this as far as ease of tuning them. Thanks.

it looks good i have the software, but you have to have the unit to use it

From what I've heard, it's that software that really makes it useful. What version is the software that you have? v1.1?

that sounds right, but it doesnt say anwhere on it

the box by itself is dumb. Bascially an AFC and equally gay. But when you plug in the software, and you plug in the harnesses you get a much different item. ignition harness gives you control of ignition, injector harness gives control of injection and the profec-e01 gives you control of boost, and a cool display. Of course boost sensor module also... you can make this exact as you want, has an easy to use excel like feeling to the software. Change timing and fuel across the board... you piggy back off your stock computer so it retains the original settings, useful if you are running aftermarket comp etc, and if you want to go back to stock settings you load in a blank map. It sensors pretty much everything you have a harness for, all injector stats, etc... then the basics which are throttle position, air flow voltage etc... I dont have the profec-e01 yet, i will probably pick it up... but i dont really want another monitor in my car :P so basically, for around 400-500 bucks you have ignition and injection control across the board. It will allow you to run addition inject with a harness... This will be set up in your fuel map to fire when necessary, change air flow types, add big injectors, stall control for big cams etc.... The only big problem is you have to splice into the wires on your computer, which is not only a pain in the ass but hella gay when you go to pull the wiring harness and you have a fucked up mess of wires for it... it doesnt like to fit in the compartment for the comp (of course).... i would prefer a replacement. A pretty good deal in my opinion, i own it. It doesnt give you all the readings for your sensors (water temp, ext temp, knock etc...) like power FC does but it is like 1/4th the price... |

you could get an fcon harness and splice into that.
