I need more speed, and the budget won't allow for a Haltech, so I'm leaning toward going with the Apexi S-AFC and swapping 1600's in on my secondary injectors. Does anyone have any firsthand experience with this setup?

i think the safc only does +/-50% and the 1600's are too big, but i could be wrong.
the other option is to get your 550's bored out to 1100, that would work, or get 850's bosches instead of 1600's |

I know there's a difference in injector impedance for pre-88 injectors versus later injectors. My car was mfd. in 1988. What impedance injectors do I need? Is it possible to tune this setup with just a few dyno pulls? |

No, you are quite correct, +/- 50%.
