Just got complete rebuild and completed gentle 1000 mile break in. I did strech it at a few times after that. The car pulled like hell much faster than I ever remember. The engine builder suggested and tune the new ECU. While the car runs much smoother. It doen't pull as hard.
Overall the car doesn't seem to pull very hard with this ECU compared with the factory unit The factory boost seemed to spike more in nature and stronger. Needless to say I was much happier with the performance of the factory ECU, I don't know if this is a tuning problem or the way it's supposed to be The boost on the display only reads .87 kg/cm |
I have the following mod
Apexi intake PFC Down pipe 3" cat racing beat catback enfni turbo's |
the car feels faster when the boost is all spikey. there is a HUGE difference between what feels fast vs what is fast vs whats safe

Yep sounds like the norm, i noticed the same with mine and some that i fitted to other fd's, the power fc pulls lots of timing out from .5kg onwards with preset timing maps. Best to have it on a dyno checking a/f ratio and knock and add some more in. Just remember PFC does not retard timing if knock is detected.
Thanks guys, I think that I will put an in intercooler and get it dyno tuned like to get about 15 pounds of boot on the high setting. More than that seem become cost prohibative. |
