after tunning the car on the street took it to the car to the dyno to do any of the fine tune adjustments and to see what power we would put down. the turbo was supposed to be full t04s 60-1 but after having to fix the oil drain and a couple other things i discovered that it had a t3 exhaust housing and a t3 flange that was welded on top of a t04 flange on the exhaust manifold. the car used to have a stock cat that was starting to fail so that was removed, and after that the manual boost controller proved to be useless so it was removed and the boost was controlled straight off the wastegate spring. i have attached a datalog for those that want to see the boost level at each rpm. the owner told me that the motor was ported, but i am not sure of that and if it is, then i assume it to have a very mild port. well enough talk here is the chart.

Hi,

Might be back from the dead, but how much boost were you running? Very interested cause my setup is almost the same.

Cheers

i edited the original post and insert the datalog of the boost vs rpm.

there was no boost controller, and the wastegate was too small so it slowly started to creep shortly after hitting the wastegate spring

Thanks. Just did the conversion to Bar, which would be 1.1 bar. That isnt too bad.

you took the highest psi on that chart, if you notice the car only hits that all the way above 7500 rpm and passed the power peak. that exhaust housing is too small for this engine and the power shoudlnt be droppign off so suddenly. with a better setup this could make much better power. and this motor is unported i am pretty certain.

true. Do you know what the A/R on the exhaust housing was/is

Yea I'd like to know as well, those dyno lines are really smooth.

Kahren,

Any news on the housing dimensions?
