Managed to run my best numbers @ Atco for the RX7 vs Supra event...

Weather was nice and cold with many domestic big-hp cars laying alot rubber.

1st run I left the EVC off...running 11psi(.74 kg/cm2 on PowerFC)

60'- 1.793

330- 5.180

1/8- 7.929 @ 90.33mph

990- 10.218

1/4- 12.274 @ 113.78

2nd pass running almost 16psi (1.07kg/cm2) < Got Booted out>

60'- 1.806

330- 4.943

1/8- 7.494 @96.38mph

990- 9.647

1/4- 11.562 @ 119.28 mph

After some begging they let me back to race.....I was lined up against a 11 sec Supra so I went all out.....16psi (1.08kg/cm2)

60'- 1.765

330- 4.953

1/8- 7.515 @ 96.31mph

990- 9.672

1/4- 11.590 @ 122.12 mph

Well, got booted again but very happy with the numbers.

Ran into a few familiar faces which always nice...but hope next time we'll have more rx7s. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

Congrats,

Thats bad ass. You should teach Rikki how to drive!!

Kick ass mph for stock twins and one of the best et's I've seen for that boost. Atleast some people are honest on how much boost they run.....aghhhmmmm......

Again, congrats! Now get yourself a cage. Contact www.swracecars.com

They sell a cage for the 7 in chrome molly for under $400.....Lets bust some Supra ass next season....

13brv3 11-28-2002 07:41 PM

Great times! Why were you getting booted? Because you ran too fast without a cage?? I'll be taking my R1 to the local strip in the next few weeks, so I don't really know all the track rules yet. Not likely to get booted though https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Cheers,

Wow, that's a good deal...thanks Ernie

I have 1psi to go since the stock map sensor maxes out @ 1.15kg/cm2 or 17psi....we'll see much faster it will go.

1Revvin7 11-28-2002 10:36 PM

wow, not much fuel for you!

1Revvin7 11-29-2002 12:20 AM

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif nice setup. :bigthumg:

ErnieT 11-30-2002 08:59 AM

I noticed you were still running 850secondaries. With you wideband hooked up, running that much boost, your not leaning out? You should consider some bigger secondaries to be safe. I have the opposite setup. I run stock primaries and 1600cc secondaries and have run up to 24lbs of boost, with a 11.5.1 A/F ratio.

Boostn7 11-30-2002 10:33 AM

Ernie: I should upgrade the sec's to bigger but since 17psi is my limit I'm gonna leave it alone....@ 16psi I was seeing 78-80%duty.

At 14psi I was maxing out the stock fuel system before(95-99%)...ran 12.004 @ 117mph on completely stock fuel system.<<<<Yes, I was asking for trouble :smirk:

My A/F's @ 16psi is 11.7:1 at lower rpm and drops down to 11.2 as rpms climb up. I keep it plenty safe up there, knock levels are always low :bigthumg:

I may get my hands on Datalogit soon.....willbhe able to datalog verything.

Later

Get a bigger map and 1300cc secondaries and see what she has before you pull a vosko. :smirk: You'll prolly pull better times on your twins then he does on his single.Even tho he keeps breaking stuff. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png
