got 9 runs

best run was the 3rd. 385.9 RWHP and 294 TQ that is SAE corrected. 15psi of boost.

intake temps were around 120 F . it was VERY hot and the shop had very small fans! anyway it was fun and i didn't blowup the car. i think overheated the fuel pump a little though oh well https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

kahren 05-01-2003 05:35 PM

looks a lot cleaner then the last runs, and probably more accurate too

still though i think more power to be made with alittle more tunning https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...closedeyes.gif

j9fd3s 05-01-2003 05:35 PM

mike

vosko 05-01-2003 05:43 PM

it breaks up alot above 7k rpm i dunno what the problem is. its not happy at very high rpm

works2r 05-01-2003 05:56 PM

well this was vosko tuning aka NOT BLOWUP THE ENGINE TUNING! so there https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

i know the intake temps and my timing had alot to do with how much power i made. this is good enough to get into the 11's sunday https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

UniqueTII 05-01-2003 06:10 PM

Nice numbers...is your tranny fixed again?

vosko 05-01-2003 06:17 PM

tranny works. it is just me + race clutch = hard to get into 2nd gear https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif

120+ degree intake temps = less power https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif

like i said before i am tuning the car VERY safe. if it has less power i honestly don't care. i refuse to damage the engine https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Badog 05-05-2003 10:28 PM

Vosko,

If I make it up your way, we're going to have a little tuning clinic. You should be in the 400's, even set conservative and below 17 psi.

About your IGN break-up above 7K: what amp you running? TwinPower? MSD? NGK 9's all the way around? Newer plug wires? Nice beefy ground from engine to body?

Tony

vosko 05-05-2003 10:31 PM

three MSD 6a's and magnecore 10mm wires. i am trying not to kill the engine.... like i said before,i'm learning as i go

also i think i cleared up my ignition break up.........atleast it seemed like it sunday. i have some repairs and maintenance to do on the car before i go racing again

Badog 05-05-2003 10:36 PM

Was it grounding issues, then?

vosko 05-05-2003 10:40 PM

i think it was a tuning issue
