I don't know what the hell is going on but we only have a couple of FCs and in many, many years of co-organizing this event I don't ever recall an FC and no RX8s.

I find it dissappointing that these fine cars don't get used for motorsports.

Anyone want to donate a car I'm willing to do competition testing and setup https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

TYSON 06-02-2005 08:24 AM

Do they have an event specific noise limit? Or is it the CASC 95db @ 50 feet?

ColinRX7 06-02-2005 10:46 AM

I want to be there

I need to finish up stuff on the car though

I'm not racing without finalizing mods

DareBee 06-02-2005 11:18 AM

We are not stringent on noise levels.

If there is something that is EXTREMELY loud we would make a judgement call on it, but I have yet to hear something to loud for our current venues.

Tyson, I look forward to meeting you in person (I know we have attended the same events in the past but we actually have never met)

Derek

TYSON 06-02-2005 12:38 PM

I need to get my car going early enough so I can get in the 3 event minimum!

The Septemeber one would be a fun way to finish off the ALMS weekend. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

DareBee 06-02-2005 01:11 PM

You've run more than 3 events in your life haven't you?

TYSON 06-02-2005 01:44 PM

hmm, yes I guess so!

Started, not finished? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

ColinRX7 06-03-2005 07:40 PM

Tyson hit me up if you want to attend one of these with me, my car is back on the road sooner than expected...

You need to compete in 3 normal autocross events before they let you compete at the ProSolo events. Get at it!

Jason

A pro course generally is VERY open and easy to follow approximately 20 - 25 seconds in length.

Maybe you could bring the laptop and model the course in ProE for study purposes :-)

Not so good - we all know that 10 minutes is more time than needed to change that hose. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

FS guys

I regret to inform that a management change at the mall we HAD 100% confirmed (GRRRR) for the July 1 pro solo has screwed us.

The July 1 ProSolo has been CANCELLED.

We will have enough time to secure a new venue for the Sept 5th event, but it will be considered tentative untill further notice.

This is a rare occurence and I apologize sincerely.

Please feel free to join us for our club series (as always)

Cheers! 06-15-2005 07:10 AM

So does this mean no more square one lot at all? Shitty deal.

You guys should inquire about the bronte lot.. it would be big enough to handle a pro-solo.. of course ask comp if they are ok with that, we don't need any mad corvettes https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

TYSON 06-15-2005 08:53 PM

WHat about the GO lot at Bramalea and Steeles?

DareBee 06-16-2005 07:20 AM

No more square one at all.

Things may change 5 years down the road but the way it is now our running days at SQ1 are over.

110 bucks for one day. What is PITL at now? 35 an event? Total seat time is like 5 minutes for one event. That is why I could never go fast until the fun runs when I figured out if it was a left or right for the 3rd turn...

Total seat time on track at solo 1 if you get there earlier is like 3 hours.

If we measure seat time per dollar:

Autox : 5 min / 35 = 7 dollars for every minute

Solo1 : 180 min / 100 = 55 cents for every minute on the track.

Unless you break your car like me....

For lots: Is the downsville airport lot filled with chryslers right now? Else it's usually free and it's huge

DareBee 06-17-2005 07:14 AM

Jason lack of money and time doesn't work in the equation "track time in minutes/$"

PITTL events are $30 but being an organiser has benefits ;-)

OK, i'll help you here. Between work, family and PITTL events (married with children ya know) I have 1 EITHER Sat or Sun for myself per month.

For me to enjoy a Solo 1 I would need a Motel stay (at least $50)

2 sets of R tires instead of 1 (extra $1000)

Set of brakes per year ($500) (I haven't changed brakes in 10 years)

At least 3 meals maybe 4 ($50 - 100)

oh yeah entry fee ($110).

It may actually be less $/minute of lap time but it is still time that I don't have and WAY more money than solo 2.

I would love it, but not going to happen

BTW I am not a rocket scientist but I can usually run FTD by my second run in solo 2, whats your problem https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
