I never had a problem with Canadians (and still don't, for the most part), until I had one for a roommate.
We always joked around, I would make fun of him and tell him to go back to his igloo, and he would crack on my being a Floridian and having to fight alligators and random bullshit like that. It was all good. Then one night, I get this phone call from him. He says he wants me to meet him down at his girlfriend's apartment (she is also Canadian). As soon as I walk in, I can smell the trouble. "We're tired of you making fun of Canadians" What? "I can't believe you actually THINK we live in igloos, you are so ignorant!" What the **** are you talking about, do you honestly think that I THINK that you live in an igloo? Silence. "PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE THE REASON OSAMA BIN LADEN HATES AMERICA" (I swear I am not making this up). Me, dumbfounded.... The next four hours are spent with me being attacked from all sides by the two Canadians, plus the female's three drunk roommates. A five on one attack, all because my ******* Canadian roommate can't grasp satire, even though he dishes it out himself (or does HE truly believe that I wrestle alligators!?) ****** Canadians - Kuwazoku@aol.com |

I feel obligated to appologize! That's not how I feel! Granted 99% of Americans I have met have been decent people, but every counrty has it's bad apples! Don't hate all of us!! I know you don't think we live in igloos! It's gonna be ok! I think it's beyond stupid for them to have said that! But when Pat Buchannan(SP) is allowed to call Canadians "Freeloaders" It kind of makes you think! Sometimes people are just stupid! For no reason! It's not nice nor is it fair!
