HOLY ****! That seriously sucks... even though i almost pissed myself laughing.... i kinda feel bad for him.

Baldy 06-12-2007 02:36 PM

He was sold the wrong sized lug nuts. I was parked next to him when he put the wheels on. He torqued all them to 75-80 ft lbs with no problem. I think the inner diameter was too big, yet just small enough to grip the very to of the threads on his studs. As soon as a major cornering force was applied, they all blew off. The stud threads were still intact enough to thread the factory lug nuts and allow him to drive the car off course. He should be making contact with the vendor that sold them to him either yesterday afternoon, or some time today to find out if/what they're going to do for him.

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.gif that is freakin crazy i would go ape **** on whoever sold me the wrong lugnuts.

fc3sboy1 06-12-2007 04:09 PM

at the same time its up to the owner of the vehical to check and double check the size of the studs and the vendor is not 100% to blame here. i can see this story goin both ways, car owner says give me Xmm lug nuts when in reality he needed Ymm or the vendor says you need Xmm and just plainly grabbed some from the wrong bin by mistake or plainly didnt know what size they where supost to be. i think its funny though

Bent a swap bar end link, and busted up the brake dust shields.
