After the CNC machine shop finished the toe links and trailing arms for me, I asked them if they can make some pulleys and they said "sure".

The pulley kit will be made from 6061 aluminum. It comes with two belts and it's a bolt on. You will not need to take off the eccentric shaft bolt to put the pulley on. It will be the same shape as the stock crank pulley so it will be lighter than some of the other aftermarket ones. The pulley will be one piece instead of stock two piece design.

The target price is $200 for the pulley with the belt. You save about $50-60 from the regular price

Spec:

material: 6061 CNC machined aluminum

contents: one crank pulley, two belts

color: silver

size: 25% smaller than the stock one

I need to have at least 5 orders to get this started so please let me know either by posting on this thread or email me at rotaryextreme@aol.com. Thank you.

It can be done but the stock one is made of plastic so it's very light already. So you want me to make a bigger one or keep it the stock size? If I make a bigger one and you also use it with the power pulley, it might be underdriven too much.

its pointless to underdrive the powersteering, but it would be cool to have a aluminum pulley instead of the plastic, just for durability issues. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

JaySpec7 06-03-2003 11:06 AM

exactly.... stock size is fine...

Scrub 06-03-2003 10:00 PM

just polish the stock p/s pulley https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png Or get rid of power steering all together, It's more fun that way.

FikseRxSeven 06-03-2003 11:16 PM

i would be in....... but no money

jspecracer7 06-04-2003 12:05 AM

Chuck,

How about some pulley's like the one that Atkins Rotary makes?

http://www.atkinsrotary.com/multibelt..jpg

I would DEFINITELY put money into this...and I know of a few people here in Japan that would be interested as well.

Little Goat 06-04-2003 02:00 AM

I'll take the power pulley and a stock size power steering pulley https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

If I am going to make a 3 piece or 4 piece pulley kit, I am just going to keep all the other pulleys the same size as stock. If you already have a smaller power pulley and you also increase the size of the other pulleys such as water pump, alternator, and Power Steering, I am afraid it's going to be underdriven too much.

I will get a quote on all the other pulleys at the same time and get back to you guys. Thanks.

what color will they be?? blue?? to match my GReddy?? lol

rotaryextreme 06-07-2003 01:50 PM

The color is probably gonig to be silver or black unless everyone wants the blue ones.

Black/Silver is fine with me. All I need is the pulley's like the Atkins ones since I don't have A/C or P/S anymore... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/violin.gif

Super light weight power pulley is already done.

The pulley only weighs 365 grams (0.8 lbs). The kit comes belts and stainless steel bolts for a bolt on installation.

Special price for the forum members are $220 shipped.

DO NOT use this pulley with a greddy pulley kit. It's going to underdrive the water pump and alternator too much.
